u can install LAN driver from device manager

buy a adaptor callled "USB LAN adaptor" ....connect to ur USB port and then connect the LAN cable to that adaptor...ur USB port turns to a LAN port

Update the Operating System over the internet.It willupdate all the drivers.Make sure Windows Update is turned On.

Hi,
You need to re-install your Ethernet driver.If you have Driver CD with you then first uninstall the Ethernet driver from device manager and install the Ethernet driver from you driver CD.
If you don't have driver CD with you then You can download ethernet driver by Clicking here.

I have Compaq nx6115 too and faced the same problem. I tried all sorts of stuff following useless guides. This works on for me:

Download drivers from Broadcom (link below) and manually install it from your Windows XP Device Manager.

Select your Windows version correctly (e.g. Windows XP 32bit)
