i downloaded photos through iphoto and manually deleted photos from camera roll
now, 'camera' will not open, saying that there is not enough room to take additional pictures and advises to delete some existing pictures
'camera' roll says that there are no photos and that i can take photos
'photos' also says that i can take photos
neither restoring via the phone settings or via itunes has not solved the problem
any ideas?
is this another expensive, underperforming jobs product now that he's prepping for retirement?
whatever you can advise is appreciated
regards,
24 year mac user

hello I posted a problem but do not see any solutions, so I don't get it? Anyway after many hours of google research, and going to shop in Bangkok that handles hardwear problems, they had found it was not software problem after all. The camera was replaced in 15 minutes at a cost of `1500 baht or about $45 and worked perfect. So online I see many many people with this problem and six am looking not found one solution except the replacement of camera worked must have dropped it. So you people out there this is my solution that worked for me, and i do not understand why people wrote a solution with no solution? am I reading this wrong? where is the solutions from the people except they say they have the same problem? Good luck

- i don't understand i posted a solution number 2, i got a new camera put in and that was the solution, why do i keep getting notified of solutions or people trying to get a solution? don't they read the solutions that some people as I put in months and months ago? how do i get them to stop sending me emails that someone has a solution when i do not see any need. Get a camera put in and never had a problem again, simple as that.Ok good luck to those that do not read.

I just had this problem solved.
1. Use your finger and press on the lense towards the phone.
that's a weird one that I have not seen. Best bet is to take it into an Apple store and have one of the apple experts fix or replace the phone. They're pretty good about replacing faulty phones. sorry, I couldn't be more specific but I've never seen or heard of this problem.
ok guys listen i undrstand ur problem and i hav a solution fr this........i know u all usually use ziphone 2 unlok iphone but that brings another extra icon in iphone as zibris blog and other files as well.......so that causes many problems.....better unlock it with a software called iliberty........thats te best way 2 escape this problem

Hi, as it seems that it's a hardware problem you may buy the camera and replace it at this online store: http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.12651
I have not done it, but I will.

Solution:
Install another camera app from installer i.e. Snapture.
Take a few photos with it (at least 3 photos).
Your native camera application and camera roll should now be working again.
Note: Do not delete these 3 photos you have taken with Snapture or you will be back where you started.

I have the same problem, the error message I get is " There is not enough room to take additional pictures. Please delete some existing photos". I have restored the phone and upgraded it to 1.1.4, still the same....Any solutions!!!!!!!
I deleted all my photo's within the iPhoto image manager, now I can't seem to take new pictures with iPhone camera. I have blank squares where the newly captured image should be.
I have restored the iPhone but its had effect on the problem.

I have on only 2 pictures in my camera roll and yet if I try to take a picture, i can't. the camera won't work. it has a warning that says: "there is not enough room to take additional pictures. please delete some existing photos." there are only TWO pictures there. how can there be no room??? i've restored, i've deleted all pics and still it doesn't work.
Camera faux shutter appears, then iphone closes. No message why. Downloaded to MacBook with option set to delete pictures from phone while downloading but still no access to this feature.
Settings feature tells me that I still have 2.4 megs of memory left on phone.
Would love you know why?
Best regards... AMX
