Ge Dishwasher (GSD4910) display doesn't work

Hi,
Our Ge Dishwasher, modelĀ GSD4910 just stopped working but the display stays lit. There are no error codes either. The touch pads on the display won't reset or anything. Then it would beep maybe once a minute. I turned the circuit breaker off all night and when I turned it back on this morning "PF" was displayed but the display still won't react when I press it. Any ideas? At least the beeping stopped.

SOURCE: F2 Error code displays with audible beep.

The F2 typically means an overtemperature conditions:
1. over 650 degrees F unlatched or 915 degrees F latched.
2. cooling fan stalled while over above 650 degrees F or an oper thermal switch in the yellow leads.
Check for:
1.Welded relay contacts
2.Cooling fan stalled or blocked air flow to rear of unit.
3.High resitance in over sensor leads/connectors, especially at sensor in rear.

SOURCE: Continuous beep after power went off and on

I'm the one who posted on May 23. I tried turning off the breakers and it was still beeped when powered back on. I ordered a new touchpad and control module. When I replaced the touchpad, the beeping was gone, but not all the buttons worked, so I changed out the control module, too, and it works:) I'm going to put clear caulk along the top to prevent spills from leaking through the front panel.

Looks like a pressure switch problem. Refer part 26 in this diagram. The drain pump operates instead of the wash pump.

the problem is within the electronic control. Steam leaks in, due to an improper seal ring. Humidity stay in the compartment and eventually, the contact on the wire ribbon corrodes.
it can also be the new electronic module.
If the electronic module is ok, then the only working solution require that you order and install a "fit kit" from Frigidaire.

Some models even have a recall made form Frigidaire. Better check with them.

Good luck!

I think you are on the right track with the damper. Stick your head in an try and look through the damper. If you can look through it then it is working. Check air flow from the freezer unit, by removing the top back panel. If you can not see through it, replace it.

CODE F4 and washer not working

Not too sure on that code, could be timer error. One thing to try would be to turn off the AC power to the unit and let it stay off for 15-30 minutes and then turn it back on. Sometimes if the unit takes a voltage spike it hashes the memory and resetting the power will clear it up, but to do this the voltage needs to turned off at the fuse/breaker box and not just the switch on the front. If you have the manual it may give ideas. I could not find the model no. you listed. Check to see if it is correct if resetting the unit doesn't help.

GE Profile dishwasher GSD4930X88WW will not start C3 error code

The wiring diagram for GE dishwashers is usually found under the dishwasher, take the bottom panel off, then look for a envelope about 3"x5" up against the bottom side of the floor of the dishwasher, right under/behind the front edge. If its not there it makes servicing it tougher. C3 code means the drain sensor is not functioning, C7 code means the temperature sensor is not functioning.
As to the voltages used, I would only know that by looking at the wiring diagram (which I do not have).
