Central heating not working but hot water is ok.

If when you turn power off you wait a while it is probably not the central system coming on. You have a triple aquastat that maintains a temperature level needed to provide hot water. but you are not getting the thermostat to operate the central heating. The thermostat is a switch that operates by temperature. if you have tried raising the thermostat and the system did nor kick in. try jumping the thermostat terminals in the aquastat . if that works then the problem is either in the thermostat or the wiring to the thermostat. also with a electrical tester." while the thermostat is jumped" test the c1 and c2 terminals to see if power is going to the circulator. If not then you need a new aquastat. if you have power and the pump is not moving water replace it.

Central heating boiler will not heat heating water

first do not call engineer go up in loft if there is a lot of insulation in loft have some boards to lay down in loft you will have two water tanks one large and a much smaller one look inside the smaller one and if the ball valve is stuck in the upright position and no water in tank move ball up and down water should flow wait for tank to fill then bleed radiators with a small key obtainable at most diy stores for this you will need a small towel with key hold towel under valve loosen the screw at top of radiator air will escape then water will escape do this to all radiators repeat this a second time so only water comes out turn on heating system also there is a chance you will have to turn down heating system

When i put the water heating on my boiler gets the water hot but just heats the radiators, even when the thermostat and controls for the central heating is of and get no hot water at all

you have a zone valve and a tank stat that controls the temp of your hot water. when the water reaches the temp set of the tank stat the zone valve closes and stops water going to the tank. turn up the stat and see if the valve opens. you will hear a wherring noise. if not working you may have to change one or both of these but you can put the valve on manual by moving the lever in the side of it to then manual position till you get it fixed

St6400c thermostat wont run the central heating independantly

This does not sound like a thermostat problem. I would be looking for a zone valve or circulator pump problem.
