Try factory reset: while holding the(CD) button on front panel, press (POWER) button.
After "Clear" is displayed the unit should be back to its factory default. :) If this dont work for you take the unit to be checked by service . :)
When you disconnect your battery and then reconnect it again, it disables the radio. This is an anti-theft protection for your car radio. The enable your radio the activation code is in your vehicle owner's manual. If you do not have this code you need to go to your vehicle manufacturer's service centre and get them to enter this code for you.
After 6.5 hours, I am now listening to music outside on my patio using my rxv-1600! Connect your speakers to the Presence Zone 2(3) output on back. Then power up amp and select zone 2 on front of amp. Nothing will happen, because as I found out, you must route an input to zone 2 or 3. Which is cool, because you can listen to something outside that is different from your inside. You select what to route to the zone by pressing Zone Control button, just right of zone 2 and 3 button. While you see red zone light blinking, rotate input select knob to prefered input, i.e. radio/cd/aux/etc... also, you can adjust volume by pressing zone control and turning up the volume knob, only while ZONE light is blinking. hope that helps, i know i was frustrated figuring that out!
hi yes you can do this press AUD button near the on/off/volume control momentarily to step through the following audio adjustment options volume, bass, treble, balance (left to right) and fader (front to back). when the desired option appears in the display, rotate the volume control knob to adjust that audio feature. When no adjustments have been made for three seconds, the unit will resume normal operation. so you can fade the speakers to however you want them...hope this helps
I know what you mean. Used to be a source of irritation in this otherwise super-quiet car. It was like "hey... the music plays far too loud now please drive a little slower dad". Really irritating on the Autobahn, constantly fiddling on that volume knob.
Interestingly, the instruction manual for the business CD main unit gave no clues at all! Then I found the solution at the bimmerfest BMW forum:
" 1.Power down the unit (using the knob) and power back up in the radio mode
(either AM or FM).
2. Hold down the "m" button (right of the display) until your display shows
a serial # xxxxxxxxxxx.
3. Using the "+" or "-" buttons that surround the center "musical note
symbol" button to the left of your display, scroll until "GAL 3" comes up,
which is factory setting. Using the number buttons 1 thru 6 below your
display, press the number "1". Your display will now read "GAL 1 ".
4. Power down the unit again (using the knob) and when you power back up,
your new setting will be effective!
5. To confirm that the new setting is active, repeat steps 2 & 3 to check
your "GAL" setting.
6. Enjoy your HK unit's volume the way YOU want to hear it! "
I assume there are slightly different versions of this in different models but it goes something like this, the keyword you are looking for in the menu system is "GAL" which is a German acronym for speed-sensitive volume control (Geschwindigkeitsabhängige Lautstärkenregelung für Radio).
