The draw back of inkjet technology printers are, if it is not using quite long period of time, cartridge nozzles will dry up, result printer will act just like a printing some thing but nothing will come on paper(blank page) even ink levels are showing full. Try to recover the both cartridges through 'clean print cartridge' process from the system,if not better consult cartridge re-filler to clean the nozzles..Replace new cartridges if above said methods are not worked out.
Run a head cleaning cycle by pressing ink button for 3 seconds or longer. Try printing after 3 cycles, if getting blank pages still. Nozzles are clog, better get a new one than having it fix, more cost effective.
Try to reseat your cartridges into the printer. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. Re-brick your printer by pulling out the power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds. When the printer turns on, reinsert both cartridges. Try to print again to verify that the problem is fixed. Long period of non-usage can result to drying of ink and clogging in the print nozzles. Try to clean the cartridge nozzles using the Lexmark software on your computer. Go to Start menu > Programs > Lexmark X1200 Series folder > Lexmark Solution Center. From the Maintenance tab, select Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page forcing ink through the cartridge nozzles and clean them. Try to print your document again to verify that the problem is fixed. If this does not help, try to insert different known working cartridges or better yet brand new genuine Lexmark cartridges.
i think u already solved your problem...your printer's problem is its printer head...u cannot solve this problem by fixing it yourself.all u can do is to buy new printer head at printer's shop. it is true because i got the same problem with my BJC 200.i do the same solution as u r and lastly, i go to the technician and he said i need to replace my printer head at some price.....just think bout money n i discover that buy a new one is better(as for my problem)
not to discourage u, but try to plan either to buy new printer head or buy a new printer....
Some third party cartridges will not work with your printer as they are remanufactured from used cartridges.
It is more expensive to buy genuine Lexmark ink, but atleast you know it will work.
You may try reinstalling the driver before buying new ink.
I hope this helps.
the cartridge will be blocked better dip in cleaning solutions for a while and try to print again . If the same problem occurs again change your cartridge by a new one for further information contact www.abhi_abhi_4891 @ yahoo.com
