Connent Bose speakers to Sharper Image SA250 System

I connected my Bose 501 series 5 speakers (compatible with receivers or amplifiers rated 4-8ohms, 10-200w/ch. Empedance 6ohms I.E.C. power rating 100w/ch) and the speakers only discharge static and a muffle sound. Is it that this system can only utilize the speakers supplied by sharper image ??

Probably. HTIB's are all-in-one for a reason. They typically are not recommended (or explicitly recommended against) mixing and matching with other products or damage can result. Glaring (but not mandatory) evidence of that would be non-standard connections that don't use bare wire ends to connect the speakers to the amps.

I can't find documentation on the SA250. How are you connecting the 501's to it?

Bose acoustimass 3 system connect to TV without receiver

Manuals (randomly chose a Series 2 from 1990-1994 - if not that, then choose the series from the Bose site)

https://www.bose.ca/en_ca/support/search.html?category=2_speaker_home_theater_support&query=acoustimass+3&queryForDisplay=Acoustimass+3

There are a number of different models. Assuming you don't have a Powered version of the speakers (You'll know you do if you have to plug the subwoofer into AC power)
For the Unpowered systems, the subwoofer plugs into the Speaker R and L outputs of a receiver or an amplifier, so you will have to provide amplification. The satellites plug into the subwoofer and are NOT intended for direct connection to an amplifier.

You should be able to use whatever amplifier has audio inputs from your TV, and regular speaker wire connections out.

What's will be the power output of a power amp ideal for Bose 901 Series VI if the specs say it's compatible wt amplifiers/receivers rated from 10-450 watts RMS? Rated 250 IEC.

Depends on how loud you want to play it and how large your room is. If you have a large room and like to see how loud you can play it, go for a lot of watts. If you mostly listen to soft music, and have a small room, 10 or 20 watts is enough. There is no "optimum" for the speaker, only for you, your room, and your preferences.

How do i hook up bose accustimass speaker to my radio?

Acoustimass speakers need to be driven by a Hi-Fi amp/receiver or AV receiver. So the thing that's driving them needs to be an amplifier.

Unless your radio is also an amplifier then the radio and the Bose speakers are not directly compatible. There's no suitable output on the radio that generates the correct signal in sufficient power.

What receiver would you recommend for bose 301 speakers? someone suggested Onkyo 7.2 Channel 3D-Ready Home Theatre Receiver HTRC270

Anything with good clean power not overdriven will sound just fine.

If you can afford them and have the space for 5 (or more) I'd highly recommend them. Matched full-range speakers will yield the best surround experience. You might not even need a sub.

I have several iterations of 301's up to Series IV and they sounded awesome as fronts but I prefer my 901's so the 301's serve aurround duty now.

The manual prescribes >>>

301: Compatible with amplifiers and receivers rated from 10 to 150 watts per channel. Rated 4 - 8 ohms

Is the subwoofer from the Bose acoustimass 10 series IV Home Entertainment Speaker System a power sub?

The entire speaker system is passive. That is, it requires amplification for each channel.

From the manual: "Compatible with A/V receivers rated from 10 to 200 watts per front channel and 10 to 100 watts per rear channel; rated from 4 to 8 ohms".

`Which ampliphier is compatible for my Bose 901 series 6 with equilazer.

Ideally, an amplifier or receiver should have either a "Tape Monitor" selector switch and Tape Input & Tape Output jacks, OR have Preamp Output & Amp Input jacks to enable insertion of the Bose Active equalizer into the circuit before the amplifier stage. Power requirements - according to the 901 Series VI manual:

"Your 901 speakers are designed to work compatibly with receivers or amplifiers rated from
10 to 450 watts per channel."

I just enherited a pair of bose 901 speakers

My suggestion is do not hook the 901's directly to the Onkyo. It is compatable, but they WANT more than what the receiver can give them. I suggest going and getting a dedicated amplifier for them. Trust me, you'll be a lot happier going that route.

Can I connect my Bose Acoustimass 5 - Series II to Bravia unit?

Yes, there should be no issues using your Bose speakers with your Sony receiver. Sony has a "hookup guide" to help here -
