I have put the software driver for you on my website you can download it from there all you got to do is click on the link
It may take time to download for you depending on the speed of your internet all the best.
Click Link= XP http://www.4all2sell.com/driver/Canon-PIXMA-MP830-XP32Bit.exe
Click Link= Vista http://www.4all2sell.com/driver/Canon-PIXMA-MP830-Vista32Bit.exe
After download just double click on the icon and follow the instructions.
Leave the USB lead out till it ask you put in.

Here I will show you where to find drivers and manuals for the Canon Pixma Mp830 photo all in one printer.

Drivers for this printer are available for Windows 98, windows ME, windows Xp, Windows Vista, windows vista 64bit editions, windows 7 and windows 7 64bit editions.

On the Mac side drivers are available for Mac OS X 10.2/10.3/10.4/10.5/10.6

A full on screen manual, quick start guide and other instructions are also available.

To download these drivers and or documentation for your printer please visit THIS PAGE

Note that the picture below reads mp730 but the actual page linked will be for mp830.

I am trying to add my mp830 printer to my new HP computer

If you have a new HP computer, I'm assuming it's running Windows 7? You should just be able to plug it it with the USB cable. Windows 7 will automatically install it for you. If it doesn't, browse to Canon's website to download the appropriate printer driver.

I have just bought a new computer with Windows 7 as my o/s. I cannot get it to detect my Pixma MP830 printer.

How can the computer detect the printer if you have not loaded the software. Therefore insert the CD which came with the printer and load the software/driver.

I need windows 7 32 bit drivers for Canon MP830 printer

Go to this site: http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=334&modelid=12804

Under Drivers & Downloads, Select "Windows 7" from the Select OS drop-down menu.

All downloads listed for compatibility with windows 7 will be displayed. (the first one is the driver file)

Download the file (and applicable software) from the download page.
Double-click the file from its download location, and the installation will begin automatically.
Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with the installation.

Canon mp830 will not download

You prob had the printer plugged in and then installed the software,

To Fix:
1. Plug in and turn the printer on
2. Attach to Laptop
3. Hit esc if Windows asks to install new device (3-4x)
4. Uninstall the Pixma Software from your Laptop
5. Disconnect Printer from Laptop
6. Reboot laptop
7. ReInstall Printer software from CDROM. ONLY
when it is DONE installing software and TELLS you to, THEN connect the printer. Now it should work ;-)
