Picture cut off Screen on Tube TV

I have a 32" JVC tube tv. The picture on the TV is cut off on the edges. For example, "Seinfeld" shows as "einfed". think I may have pressed something on the remote although I have been though every setting on it, and nothing works. Please help.

I have a similar problem with my Apex PF2725. The image is a little too wide for the screen. Where I see a "TSN" watermark in the lower left corner, the T is missing. Simple image position/width adjustments are easy to accomplish on a computer monitor, so surely this can be easily fixed?

I have the same problem, I have a Bush TV (CRT) widescreen. No matter what screen setting I use some of the picture is cut off... I have tried TV settings and DVD player settings (there is only a DVD player plugged in, no other picture source).

Is the extra width problem something new or has the condition always been there? If it is something new, probably the power supply regulator has failed causing overvoltage to the tv.

I have no picture on my JVC AV-27730 tv. Where is the picture tube and can i replace it myself?

Hello
Picture tubes are available at electronic spare part shops. You have to give them the number and type of the picture tube, to which your JVC TV has. Picture tube, along with its Yoke fittings are integrated, and you can replace it by yoursef at home. Be very carfull in handling the picture tube, as they are highly vacumed, and will explde by hard hits. There will be four seating screws on the four corners of the picture tube, and these slots will clearly alaign if the picture tube selected is orginal number. Diamentions of these holes will be different to spherical and flat picture tubes. So you must first aware of the type of picture tube, which the TV has fitted earlier. OK.

25 inch sanyo tv

If the horizontal lines going through the picture are fine white lines, then I would suspect the picture tube as having a heater to cathode short or some other problem. Since some sets have had a 3 year warranty on the picture tube, you may be lucky unless the labor to replace the tube is more than the set is worth. Sanyo is usually not a good name in consumer electronics anymore, so if you're looking for a replacement I would look elsewhere.

Color is not good around outer edges of picture

When the colors are off around the edges on a regular picture tube TV, it usually means that the degaussing thermistor's solder joints have cracked loose. Another possible cause is that a strong magnet, such as in a stereo speaker, was brought very close to the picture tube and has magnetized the tube. Resoldering the solder joints on the degaussing thermistor and demagnetizing the picture tube should put the color back to normal.

Tv problem

I assume you get a picture in there somewhere? The discolorization is caused by the degauser circuit malfunctioning or un-shielded speakers sitting too close to the TV causing magnatism in the CRT (picture tube).
