Gigabyte GA-8IE533 Motherboard

I have a Gigabyte GA-8IE533 Motherboard that has failed, can I just put any motherboard in it's place?

    Thanks for info. Unfortunately, this board is obsolete and the manufacturer said the don't support it and would not offer a direct replacement. I kind of thought the manufacturer would say that I could substitue another model number.

You need to replace the motherboard with the same board.

Let me give you the information about your board.

You will need to replace the board with Socket 478, you also need to consider if your other components like your video card or ram will work with your new board if you didn't find a board with the same brand which is gigabyte.

Where are the places of each jack??

this is someone more suited for a trained technician, but you can look at the motherboard, where the pins were, and you should see markings like pwr +, pwr -, led +, led -, hdd_led, etc, you will also see markings on the cords that connect to the motherboard, with the same words, pwr+, pwr-, etc, you can try matching those up..

or
take your cmos cell 15 minutes then put in position.
also check smps.
power cable,power supply.

Hi,

You can replace the old BIOS chip with a new one, but unfortunately you will have to find a place to buy it (i would try the manufacture).
