Hello!

You need to reinstall the audio software device of your pc, if you have cd utilities enclosed in your pc from the vendor you should install the audio driver from the CD. i suggest you to install all the drivers necessary.

if you have no cd utilities you can download it here:

By default, the Volume icon is not displayed when you initially install Windows XP on your system. To Display The Volume Icon follow the steps given below: -

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
2. Double-click Sounds and Audio Devices.
3. Click Show volume control on the taskbar.
4. Click OK.

Good Luck!

go to control panel,, then sound..

look to see if you have working device under sound playback..

if you do look for [place volume icon in taskbar] under volume tab [1st tab]

It will have a check box,, if the box is not checked then add the check mark by clicking on it,, then apply..

If the [Place volume icon in taskbar] is already checked then un check it.....apply...then re-check it....apply.

I dont know y but there is a glich and sometime yo have to uncheck and recheck to get the icon back...

I hope this helps you.. it should if your sound works at the moment

On the lower right corner of my screen usually next to my battery meter and clock used to be my volume control. but now its gone and i dont know how to get it back, can anyone help?

Hello,

Go to start, up to control panel. Look for sound and multimedia icon or sound and audio devices icon ( depends of windows version) Click on it. A new box will open on your screen, on the volume tab is a check box for "Place volume control on taskbar" be sure it is checked. Exit the screen and your volume control should be back.
