Question about HP PSC 1410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Dripping color ink

When I print color pages on my HP PSC 1410 printer, the first 3 pages have color ink blots (looks blue-green to me). The succeeding copies are ok. But same color ink sparingly drips from under the printer. Will this eventually destroy my printer? I'd like to fix it myself, but I don't know where the leaks come from and what to fix or clean. Kindly guide me.

You need to replace the color print head.it right under your color cartidg.

I just got new color ink for my HP PSC 1410 but now is printing images total blue. please advice..


Ok firstly double check that the cartridge is in there properly (you should have heard a click when you pushed it in). Once you've done this go to your printer settings in your control panel and print a test page.
If the test page is total blue then take the ink cartridge back to the shop and get them to replace it (for free).

Each time i start my printer( HP PSC 1410) it prints a test page.


Buy a Brother 2100 All in one for 169 or less then goto 123 inkjet and get color cartridges for only 4.50 each (and the large ones too not dinky cartridges) plus for the price of a new printer you get the ink in it which would cost you the price of ink anyway for the HP so think as it as a free printer
123inkjet.com - for 50 dollars I got 3 black 2 majenta 2 yellow and 2 blue and they were sent to me through general mail us to canada so no duties but did take 4 weeks or more

Sounds like the printer thinks the cartridge is empty. Old PSC units had a 3 cartridge memory - you kept 3 cartridges and cycled them to trick the printer into thinking it had just received a brand new cartridge, rather than a refilled one.

How do I align the printer heads?


Remove ink cartridges and re insert, it should print a test page if not print a test page from the solution centre. then scan the test page. this should reallign the printer heads.

Pink copies


Hi,


Most printers is run by 4 colors black and the colored is basically yellow red blue. (or may called it magenta cyan etc)

1. One of you colored ink runs out that why you cant make any colored.
2. Or one of the basic color might be clog up, dry or simply empty.
3. you need all the 3 colors to make all the colors available.

If You have light or message about print cartridge or alignment problems

Cause: The incorrect type of paper is loaded in the paper tray.
  • Solution: The paper must be blank and white for the alignment to succeed.
    If the alignment fails again, you might have a defective sensor or print cartridge. Contact HP
    Support by going to www.hp.com/support. Click Contact HP for information on calling for
    technical support.
Cause: Protective tape is covering the print cartridges.

  • Solution: Gently remove the plastic tape by using the pink pull tab. Do not touch the ink
    nozzles or the copper-colored contacts.
  • Reinsert the print cartridges and verify that they are fully inserted and locked in place.
Cause: The contacts on the print cartridge are not touching the contacts in the print carriage.
  • Solution: Remove and then reinsert the print cartridges. Verify that they are fully inserted and locked in place.
Cause: The print cartridge or sensor is defective.

  • Solution: Contact HP Support. Go to www.hp.com/support. Click Contact HP for information on calling for technical support.

What is not working? The printer or the cartridge? If it's the cartridge, try this. fold a paper towel in 4ths, dampen it and place on a flat surface. Blot the cartridge several times on the towel. You should get blots of black with the black cart. and three colors with the color or photo cart. If not... replace. If the printer carriage just won't move and you're shure you have power.. time for a new printer.
