Question about HP OfficeJet 7410 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Printing landscape instead of portrait

This is a new problem -- I've been using this computer and this printer together with this software for more than a year.

When printing from Mail, Firefox and Quickbooks Pro from my Mac Powerbook running OS 10.4.11, the default is coming out as landscape instead of portrait. While I can go into page setup and fix it in Mail and Firefox, QB Pro 2007 Mac doesn't have an option for page setup when printing invoices created in the onboard form designer. My invoice form is set as portrait, but when I print to PDF or to my printer, it comes out landscape, cutting off the bottom of the invoice. It doesn't even print a second page with the rest of the invoice, just cuts it off.

Is there a way to change the default setting so that unless I change it, my printing is automatically set to portrait?

I've had a few other weird printing issues (can't print from InDesign CS2), so I just downloaded the print driver and reinstalled. That didn't fix it. I also deleted the printer and added it back in. Still can't print my invoices.

Which quickbooks are you using? Which platform (Vista, XP etc) If you have Vista, only QuickBooks 2008 and 2009 will work.

It sounds like your printer is set to print landscape, instead of portrait mode. Next time you want to print, click on file(top left of screen), then print (don't just click on the little printer icon). This will open a new printer window where you can choose different setting. The option to change from landscape to portrait will be listed somewhere in that window. Once you have selected that feature and print it will stay that way unless you change it. You will have to check this setting in each computer program you use.

HP P2015DN Prints in Landscape form

Hi
sometimes just some of the printer drivers are with "bugs" like this one.
If you are using Win 7 or newer ver. please don't let the operation system to install drivers for this printer. Download drivers from www.hp.com and install it manual. Try different drivers. I'm sure that this will help to prevent "landscaping"pocvnqve445ajvwaaaaasuvork5cyii=

Try printing to a different printer if possible. This may shed some light on whether the problem is with the printer or with Excel. You could also open the file on a completely different PC and printer to see if something is corrupt in the file. Also try creating a completely new document to see if it will print in landscape. Can you print in landscape orientation from MS Word or another program?

When printing postcard...it comes out portrait instead of landscape

You might want to check the printer properties. You are probably relying on PrintMaster and are believing what it is saying. If it is saying it will print in landscape, then make sure that is what the printer is set up to do. Try it both ways on the printer settings, just in case one is canceling the other.

Datamax I 4208 prints slow when set to landscape

try using a seagull sceintific driver.
also if you are sending graphics (barcode) instead of an actual barcode decoded font, the printer will process as a graphic.
If serial, speed up to max, if parallel it should print quite fast
