Epson Stylus C670 printer not printing spreadsheets nor web pages
My mother's printer will only print e-mails but not spreadsheets nor web pages. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software and it has plenty of ink. Sometimes the paper will go through and it sounds like it is printing but nothing shows up. Other times the paper won't even go through and it's like the printer is not getting the info. I have checked all cables, etc.

Re: Epson Stylus C670 printer not printing spreadsheets...
You indicated you uninstalled the software. Are you meaning the driver or the printers software? I will go at this from both points. If you have reloaded drivers, have you switched the type of driver your using. There are 2 types PCL and PS post script drivers, switching the type may help. Have you installed the actual printer software, and if so have you cleared the memory. Software corruption is a possibility. Have you tried disabling any firewalls, pop up blockers, anti spyware programs like Spybot or adaware ? I have seen those block printers and print data in the past. Some things, when you mention web pages, are copy write protected and will not print, but that does not address the spreadsheet. Cables would not be a problem if you can print e-mail and test pages. You are having the data blocked by some program on the computer. You need to turn them off one at at time until you find out which one is stopping the data transfer. That's an odd problem, but just yesterday I have a funeral home have an application problem like that , and it was their spyware program that was causing the problem. Be persistant, and you will find it by process of elimination. Let me know if your still having problems ok. Will be glad to research it more for you.

Check for a new or updated driver at Epson's web site. Remove the old driver & install the new one. If that fails, you may be better off communicating by e-mail or telephone directly with Epson to get back on track. Good luck.
Width of head sprayer (head output) of black is about 1". Check nozzle. It might be some point of head spayer distort. See check nozzle ouput. There are tranversal and vertical lines that represent same point of head sprayer. Is the output perfectly straight and no clog at all? Do head cleaning procedure.
In printing web pages and email please try to check also the print setting before you print the page cause word document files and web pages are not the same in there printing setting. Web pages and emails has different setting so my recommendation is that when you print email and webpages next time then please check the printer settings then modify it the same settings as you wish or as your word document's output. Thanks
This can only be done by getting a new status monitor software . Follow my instructions:-
STEP 1 - Install the Epson StatusMonitor software. This program comes on the CD included with the printer. It can also be downloaded from the Epson Web site ( http://download.cnet.com/Epson-Status-Monitor-2/3000-2116_4-10024738.html ).
STEP 2 - Open the Epson StatusMonitor program in any application (such as wordprocessing, spreadsheets or Web browsers) that allows you to print. Click on the "File" menu tab in the control bar of the application.
STEP 3 - Select print or page setup from the "File" menu. A dialog box will open. In that box, click on the "StatusMonitor" icon, which will open the "Epson StatusMonitor" dialog box. Also, you can click on the "Utility" icon and then the "Epson StatusMonitor" button from the "Utility" dialog box.
STEP 4 - Click on the "Update" button to update the display (if you do not think these levels are accurate) when the "Epson StatusMonitor" dialog box displays the relative ink levels for each cartridge in the printer.
STEP 5 - Go back to the "Print" dialog box to change the way that the StatusMonitor utility monitors your printer and ink levels. Click on the "Utility" button again.
STEP 6 - Click on the "Configuration" button in the "Utility" dialog box. The open "Configuration" dialog box will let you adjust settings such as ink level warnings and ink level monitoring before each printing.
I agree with ProusunPal, check your settings.
If you are using Vista, check to see if it is compatable and if you have the correct driver.
Try reinstalling the drivers, but I think the first suggetion will resolve your issue.
I hope this helps.
I had this problem on my Vista pc but it was for all programs it would
say its printing and nothing happened, what I did was leave the old one
installed on the pc and created another and then deleted the old.But
have you tried uninstalling excell and re-installing it to see if that
changes anything, and when you reinstalled epson did you go to their
site and download the updated firmware/software for the printer this
could be another cause?!
If you are using Internet Explorer 6, you would need to download and install the Epson Web-To-Page Utility for you to be able to successfuly print from the Internet. Otherwise, you might to give Adobe a call just to properly uninstall the Adobe software (clean uninstallation) just to isolate the issue, if uninstalling and reinstalling the Adobe software and Epson printer driver doesn't help this maybe a case wherein you need to contact Microsoft or Apple since its considered an OS Issue.
