It doesn't matter to the camera what type of computer you have.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa. Organize edit and share your photos
Sorry for the delay, Fixya has changed it's format recently, and us experts are having somewhat of a difficult time getting used to it. Answer #1: zoom errors (a.k.a lens errors) is a fairly common problem. See this link for some DIY fixes that may help. Answer #2: Replacement camera software is usually not provided online by camera makers. Getting a replacement usually involves a search on eBay for a used disk. But recommend foregoing the software, as a much better/safer way of downloading your photos can be accomplished using a very inexpensive USB card reader. See this other link for more info.
This camera is broken. You should have a credit card record of purchasing it from QVC. They are not responsible for repairing it (and it does need repair). Fuji is. You have proof of purchase from QVC with your credit card report; Fuji will accept that; so, register it with Fuji (although they might require the code from the original box---I hope you kept it), and send it to them for repair. (Google Fuji to find out where their support is located. (Remember, if you bought it with a super-type Visa or Mastercard, your guarantee is doubled by them.
