It is called and RF connector. Unless you are very skilled at removing the tuner from the SSB (small signal bd) identifying trace paths and soldering I would reccomend a qualified service provider to replace this part. Another option would be to simply replace the tuner (the rf connector is pressed into the tuner). If you provide the service # from the back of set I can provide the part #'s.

I have a RCA 52"

This happens all the time. It just might be fixable. This connector is known as the "f" connector or female coaxal connector. Most average electronics technician can fix them. This connector is attached to a component called the tuner. The tuner is what takes the signal and selects the channel the tv recieves. To replace the connector it means removeing the cuircit board that the tuner is on and then removeing the tunner, disasembling the tuner. Now until you find a good tech, there is another option... take an vcr and use the rca inputs on set. essitally tunning the set through the vcr. Now you will have to change channels through the vcr. but it will work. also there is a chance that the tuner might be damaged. just depends on the damage that occured when the connector was broke off..,let me know if you need any more help

well yes and know...let me explain.at theshop this is a very common occurence that we see alot... this connector is atached to a thing called a tuner. the tunner is what the tv use to select the channel. withhout this you cant change channels what can be done is atach a vcr and then use the rca inputs.. you will have to change channels using vcr.some cable boxs do this also again chaning through the cable box. this can be repaired depending how much damage has been done our shop ussaly charged around 85 dollars to repair the connector.

The coaxial cable antenna broke on my RCA tv

The part is called a Female Belling-Lee Socket. Radio Shack, or anywhere that sells antennas, CB radios, repairs TV sets, should have one. Soldering it in, is another matter. Be careful.

The antenna/cable in threaded piece has come out of the back of the tv. How can I fix that. I tried to put it back but it won't stay. I think I need a new one.

These sets have what is known as a on board Tuner. This means that the Tuner is not replaceable without replacing the entire Board. The good news is that you can replace the Cable/RF connector as long as the shield it attached to is not broke or too bent. Most of the Cable/RF connectors used in these sets have PCB mount . You will have to remove the Signal Board and unsolder the center connection of the broken connector left on the Board. Remount the new
Connector and solder the center connection. You may need a collar nut to secure the Connector the the shield.
I hope this helps,

Cable plug broke off

Well first repair the coaxial cable going to your antenna. There is no way you can use RCA cables as a substitution for coaxial cable. They have totally two different properties. You can use the coaxial and feed it to a VCR/DVD player where you can output the signal with RCA/composite cables. Basically, use your VCR/DVD player as a tuner for your TV.

RCA D52W17 ANTENNA/CABLE ANALOG INPUT

That is an ITC222 chassis and one of the more dependable RCA units built. The "F" connector is the part you're referring to and it's not something that carries a specific part number for that unit. In the shop here we simply buy them by the box and the tuner will have to be removed to install a new connector. The new one will be soldered to the chassis of the tuner and less likely to break in the future. Not something you probably want to do yourself, but at least you'll know what to ask the shop when you're calling around for estimates.

Snapped cable input

It all depends on what actually broke. Those input connectors are usually 90 degree metal units, soldered to the circuit board, so possibly the connector took a chunk of board with it. Any competent TV technician should be able to repair this in your home, especially if you tell them what the problem is when you call them. That way they will know what parts to bring.

Coaxial input jack on the TV broken off so I cannot connect my coaxial cable from wall

If you are comfortable doing some small repair work, you might be able to fix this with stuff you have laying around.

All you need is:
1 - 8" piece of coaxial cable with male connector on one end
1 - set of RCA cables (Red/White/Yellow)
1 - coaxial coupler
2 - small wire nuts

electrical tape

Take the back housing off of your TV. You may have to unscrew the small nut holding the threaded connector to the TV. This threaded connector should connect to the motherboard with a male RCA prong that should be soldered to the component on the motherboard. You will need to carefully cut
& remove the old soldering & wiggle the connector off. This is the hardest part, but it WILL come off with a little trying.

Now get your coax cable and strip off about 2" of the black outside housing ONLY. Your solid copper` interior cable should be protected by a small plastic coating which is covered in braided wire. You'll need to be careful not to cut the braiding off. Untangle the braiding down to where your cut stops and try and get it all on one side of the cable so you can twist it all together and make a nice wire. Now strip about an inch off of your interior plastic sheathing to reveal the small solid copper wire on the very inside.

Get your RCA cable and cut about 6" off of the one yellow side. Follow the same process above to get a braided sheathing wire and a solid copper wire. Attach this yellow wire to the coaxial cable by twisting the two braided wires together and the two solid copper wires together. Use your wire nuts & electrical tape to secure your connections making sure none of the wires can touch each other.

Connect the yellow cable's male prong into the component on the motherboard and attach your coaxial coupler to the male end of your coaxial cable. If you saved the small nut from earlier, you can re-attach this new coupler to the housing on your TV. Screw your housing back on the TV and you should be good to go.
