I have a strange problem, if i turn my unit on it starts fine, then to get the keys working i have to put the hold on then off then the keys work and the unit works gr8 (this is problem 1)
Then when i turn it off (or i let it shut down) it goes off for about 5 seconds then it restarts on it own. (Problem 2)
I did look at the battery (which is new) and if i disconect it then reconect it the unit is fully off. unfortunatly it will not turn on at this point untill i connect the USB cable then it comes on fine and works gr8 subject to problems 1&2.
I would hate to get rid of it and i think it is somthing minor i am missing since it works so well when running.

The problem could be with a circuit that has blocked the flow so the unit will not turn on, and as far as the unit is charged that circuit has power to be stayed on. I recommend that you leave the MP3 , or digital device alone so it completely gets discharged so that bad circuit breaks. The other thing you can try is to try to see if the unit starts when you connect it to the charger. If this does not work, then discharging the unit completely , should solve the problem.
What I did for mine was just reset it. Hold down the big round center button and the start button at the same time for at least 20 seconds. It will turn off, then try turning it back on and see what it does. Mine is working fine again (the "key locked" message just meant that I had the hold button on! woops.)
the above memory stick which will turn on but after between 3 to 10
secs it shows either the shut down screen and turns off or just shuts
off any way.. then it will just keep starting and turning off untill i pull the battery out or put the key lock on. ive
rechaged my battery but hasnt improved at all.the only way i can get i
to act noamaly though ( at least briefly ) is to conect to computer and
delete all music stuf and relaod it. but it works fine for a while but
just goes back to square one..
I bought a Coby mp-c7095 and could not get it to turnon. I charged the battery for more then 24 hours and it still would not turnon.
The problem was easily fixed. The red battery wire was pinched during assembly and shorted to the back cover. I put a small piece of tape over the bare wire and carefully reassembled the unit. Now it works great!
FYI, my mobiBLU DAH-1500i 1GB unit wouldn't boot. It would start up the musical note logo and stay there. I had to hard-boot it with the little reset button. Then I connected the USB cable and "unloaded" all files, then used Windows to FORMAT the drive (FAT32). After that it fired right up and works fine. I might try to update or reinstall the firmware if it doesn't keep working. Good luck.
