Bose Wave System CD 2000 FM volume much lower cd stops if volume higher.

Hello, it would be great if i could get helo from you guys. My system is Acoustic cd2000. Sometimes when i put in the Cd it does not come on and turns off. If i tap near the cd controls then it starts and could continue or sometimes stop. but it cannot sustain volumes over 30 or 40%. as soon as i try to increase volume over 30% it flickers as is it is experiencing shocks due to the bass and then switches of ultimately. Prob2: The FM volume is very low. About 20% of what AM volume is. It sounds fine on FM and AUX.
thank you very much.

Sounds like a loose cable from the control bard to , some one will have to open up to fix, i recommend bose do that for you,
as for fm volume, the same could be the cause as the fm antenna coudl be disconnected, ( are you using an external FM antenna ?)

The Bose Wave System is top of the line and deserves a specialist, the Bose service department does all the repairs on their own products and carry the parts to implement such repairs. They do not authorize any other repair facilities to work on their items. I suggest you get in touch with them to assess your Bose Wave Music System.

Yes you have a defective laser assembly. The 139 is a great price as buying the laser lens alone will cost you around 70 .Bose will also upgrade with any new software and will also provide you with a 1 yr warrenty.

Cd does not play

Does the radio work? If not, make sure the volume is up. If so, the speakers are not blown. Return your product.

I have a bose acoustic wave, single disc model CD-3000. The CD is not working, the CD spins but won't play. The radio works great.

Had the same problem. Mine the cd drive got out of alignment. Sorry to say the fix is to have it replaced. BOSE will do this for about $150. Typically this includes the one year service agreement, a full system "tune up" and a one year warrenty.

Call BOSE and they will take care of you.

VOLUME ISSUE

I had my older bose 321 hooked up through vcr and sounded great. Then hooked it up through directv receiver and sounded better. then switched from direct to comcast and hooked the bose up throught the comcast hd receiver and the volume is aweful. same deal, have to crank it up high. Since the stereo built into the tv sounds so much better I disconnected the bose and am going to sell it.
