I have recently noticed that my TV is displaying too much green in the image. I have tried to adjust the colour using the standard settings (Normal/Warm/Cool etc) but the image always seems excessively green

It sounds like your light engine needs replaced, should be around $400.-600. depending on who does it. I have seen the lamp cause similar symptoms but not that likely.
