Question about Whirlpool AWM5145/2 Front Load Washer
When I click on a programm it clicks once, no water going in and the dial stops moving. If I put the dial on drain it sounds if it is draining, I left the machiine off for a while and then tried it again. It worked briefly so I know it is not the belt as the drum turned and water went in.
Water flow is controlled (almost always) by an electrically controlled mixing valve generally part of the attachment points for your hoses.
Sometimes one can hear a slight 'hum' caused by the valve's coil if it is receiving control voltage.
These are simple devices not hard to replace and if one shops a little, not very costly either.
Check to see if you have a Johnstone Supply in your area. They sell to the trade but I have never been turned down as a private buyer.
It is also possible that screens at one or both ends of the hose are clogged with silt.
Check those first.

Tips for a great answer:

Turn the dial to off.
Press and hold the start pause and nearest option button to it.
Whilst holding them, turn the dial one notch clockwise.
The machine will beep or flash, let go of the buttons.
Now turn the dial slowly through each position, stop and position 10 (9 clicks after letting go of the buttons) and note the error code displayed.
Continue turning the dial until you get to off.
Now turn to any programme, then, turn to off again.
Finally, turn to a programme and try the machine.
(It is very important that you turn to Off, a programme and then Off again).
Let me have the error code you retrieved if the appliance still doesn't work.
