(937) 653-7131 is the phone number of W B Marvin, according to my Google search. They should be able to help you get a new knob.

On/off swith knob broken

Is it the actual knob that is broken or the little tab the knob holds onto that is broken. You either need a replacement knob or a replacement switch assuming the know is also the thermostat for the unit. Does that same knob control the fan speed? Temprature or timer?

KNOB to controll heat level is broken.

Mike what I do if Knob pin that move the pilot pin down on gas vavle is broken there no replace part# for it. You got replace gas control valve at a tune of $180.00. What I've done for last 20 yrs is drill hole thru the knob at extach locate broken pin then place # 8 screw inhole with nut on bottom of knob and on top . Use the two nut adjust the length screw as need. Work good done it maybe 30 to 50 times.

We have a fairly new heater. went to turn on the pilot light and it won't ignite. what do you think is wrong? gas has been turned on before igniting

Sometimes it takes a few seconds for gas to reach the pilot. When you place the thermostat knob/gas control in the pilot position you must then depress it (push it down and hold it down). Wait a few seconds while holding it down, then press the ignitor button with your other hand while continuing to keep the thermostat knob depressed. You may have to hold the knob down and press the ignitor several times. You should see a spark at the pilot if the ignitor is working properly. Continue to hold the knob down for 30 seconds after the pilot lights, then release the knob, it will pop up & you can then rotate it to lo/med/hi and the heater will come on.,

JUST ,MOVED INTO NEW APARTMENT. PILOT IS LIT. WHEN I TURN THE THERMOSTAT ON NOTHING HAPPENS. iTS 36 DEGREES IN HERE AND I HAVE TWO SMALL CHILDREN PLEASE HELP!!

Solution 1: Contact your apartment manager and clear it up whether it had previous gas leakage issues. Have the person assist you in turning on the gas valve on the heater unit. (Most wall gas heater units have the red knob.)
Solution 2: If you don't hear the solenoid "clicking" on. (Solenoids control the opening/shutting off of the gas that is fed into the burner, and are actuated by the thermostat), then there is a problem with either your thermostat (i.e. paint got inside, or just plain broken). Have it replaced.

Problem with used honeywell surround HZZ 2200. run for a minute then shut off.

the way i got mine to run is by pulling off the thermostat knob and then grab the pin and turn it the same way as to turn it up it will loosen it seems it has a mechanical thermostat and its pressure based so adjust it as needed and you can even put the knob back on ... gl
personally i just removed the pin entirely so it runs non stop dunno if that disables any safety features .....

How to install programmable thermostat

If it is a wall furnace with a built-in thermostat(sounds like the 1 to 10 dial is the thermostat) into the control then you would need to buy an updated gas contol valve that will hook up to an external thermostat and a programmable thermostat. The old gas contol valve would need to be removed and the new one installed. Then the thermostat wires would connect to the gas control valve millivolt system. A heating company can perform this service for you and I highly recommend you have it professionaly installed if you are not experienced on this process. You could leave a gas leak or other hazardous situation if not installed correctly.

Not enough screws on my control board

I sounds like the thermostat you have is heating only. You need to buy and install a heating/cooling thermostat. The new thermostat will have a sheet with wiring diagrams to choose from.

Thermostat

I have seen some thermostats that have a ceramic stem attached to the inside end of the control shaft. The ceramic stem is non-conductive and heat-resistant. If this stem is broken or missing, then turning the knob will have little or no effect.

The solution is to replace the thermostat.
