Question about Philips GoGear HDD6330 MP3 Player

Still frozen After I reset more then 2 times my device still frozen and the manager software do not recognize. It's look like is OK but then frozen again. What can I do? Please Help me!

Hi,

Press and hold [VOL+] & [POWER] until the player resets.

If the player restarts normally then all is well.

If not, reset again and connect the device to the PC.

Install and run the Device Manager software from the product CD.

Select Repair / Restore option and follow the on-screen prompts.

    Here is another solution:

    On Windows XP, hook your GoGear
    to your usb port, right click My Computer choose Properties, Hardware
    tab then click Device Manager. You will see an option that says Windows
    Portable Devices(if your GoGear is connected to the USB port) with a
    plus sign to expand and see your GoGear. What you want to do is: DO NOT
    UNPLUG IT from the USB port yet. It most likely has a yellow
    exclamation mark once expanded that says drivers not found or some BS.
    (By the way dont ask about installing the drivers cuz I did that plenty
    of times and that did not work either.) Right click that GoGear with
    the exclamation mark and click uninstall but do not do push anything
    after. Now unplug your GoGear and it's cable from the USB port and
    finish the uninstall. Close all that now. Now plug your GoGear in the
    usb port again and double click My Computer and you should NOW see your
    GoGear because it should be detected. Right click that icon choose
    Format, quick compression. Now choose your GoGear Device Manager and
    Repair it. Unplug and it should be working again.

    Just a
    note, I had all the GoGear programs uninstalled except the PC software
    from the Philips site which I downloaded but it should work even if you
    have everything installed. If not download their pc software for your
    GoGear, format, then install the Device/Firmware Manager and repair.

I have had my creative zen for a couple of years, but haven't used it in a while. I plugged it into my computer and it doesn't recognize it any more. It says creative zen is not connected. what do I need...


First, reset the music player by pressing and holding the Reset button for 30 seconds.
After resetting the player, connect it to the Computer and restart the Computer to check if it's recognized.

If the Computer still doesn't recognize the music player then open the Device Manager by pressing the "Windows logo key+R key" simultaneously and typing devmgmt.msc in the Run dialog box and clicking OK. In the Device Manager, check if there is any exclamation mark visible, if there is any then right click on it and uninstall it. After uninstalling all the devices with exclamation mark, restart the Computer with the player remain connected to the Computer.

This will make the Computer recognize the player.

MY PHILIPS GOGEAR STARTS UP AND FREEZES AND JUST DISPLAY A MESSEGE SAYING (WAIT FOR USB CONNECTION) CAN SOMEONE HELP ME?


I found this on page 55 of my owner's manual.
My GoGear MP3 Player was frozen, wasn't being
recognized by my computer and this worked for me.

Follow these steps exactly:

1 Reset your player first by inserting a pin or sharp
object into the reset hole at the back of the player.
2 Launch Philips Device Manager from Start > Programs >
Philips Device Manager. Select the Repair Tab.
3 While pressing the Vol + on your device, connect it
to the PC.
4 Confirm Yes when you see the screen , you can release
the Vol + now.
5 Choose your device name (SA60xx) in the box.
6 After the repair completes , click OK and continue using
your player as usual.

Frozen


Connect your player to the pc that has the Philips device manager running, then reset the player by holding the off-switch and the volume-+ (plus) switch. As soon as the player shuts off, press and hold the volume- - (minus) switch. The Philips device manager will recognize the player now, and recommend a repair, do so.

Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
Try another USB port
Reset the player

If that fails:
Download the newest version of the Philips Device Manager:
www.usasupport.philips.com - change your country/language as needed
Enter in your exact model #
Click on the link for your exact model #
Click on the Software & Drivers section
Click on "Firmware Upgrade Software"
Install the new Device Manager
Open and run the "Repair" tab

If still nothing:
Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.


If these methods fail, call Philips to see if you are still in-warranty.

After I download Songs to my 8GB Philips go gear mp3 player it is frozen Can,t turn it off or do anything , How to reset. Now it is not even recognize by the Computor, Pls. Help me. Thanks , Sam

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Device manager wont detect my gogear HDD1630/17 even though i recently updated the software and driver, also my device is frozen on "Please connect player to pc". I can't even get it back to the menu...


I was experiencing this similar problem, and from my research so were alot of other people, what finally worked for me was this:

  • Update all the software on your computer via Phillips site
  • Open the Philips Device Manager
  • With the device connected and the 'connected to pc' screen showing on the GoGear, do a 'soft reset' by holding the Power Off + Volume Up buttons for a few seconds
  • As soon as the device restarts itself, hold the Volume Down button, the computer should now recognize the GoGear
  • Follow the onscreen directions to Repair the device
  • Thank the intarwebs.
