Hi there i have had a nokia 8800 since the week it was released in the uk 2006 it is by far the best looking handset i have ever owned but i battle daily with it switching it's self off as it thinks it has low battery. from this this phone with a good battery fully charged expect no more than 24hrs standby and 35mins talktime on a good day

The nokia menu system is confusing - when you change from 'silent' to 'normal' to 'outdoor' or any other setting, the entire ring profile changes.
I think what you have done is switch profile to a setting where the vibrate is not set to on.
simply go into the menu, select vibrate, and turn setting ON.
be aware that if you change from this setting, it may go OFF again.

Hello, i had the same problem with my Nokia 8800 and as it was still under warranty i took it to the Nokia Repair Centre and they installed new software which seems to of helped as so far so good. Not sure if this really helps you but you never know. Good luck!
