When i went to get my computer fixed the person that fixed uninstalled my camera but it is built into the computer. what do i do about it.

Try NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

I assume you mean you can be seen but not heard. First off make sure the camera has a microphone built in and is not just a camera. If there is a built in microphone, try going to your control panel and opening up Sound or Multimedia (in Win depending on version) switch to microphone or recording again depending on windows version. Make sure that the mic you want is selected in the drop down box and click OK. There is the possibility that your camera has it's own icon in control panel as well. As each camera is different I don't have the menu's you'll find but sift through them carefully looking for anything to do with sound or muting. Make sure the mic is not muted and if it's built into the camera that it's set as the default recording device.

First check whether the built in Camera is recognized in the Device Manager window under Imaging Devices or USB Controller.

Windows + R Key, type devmgmt.msc to access Device Manager.

If the Built in web cam is detected in Device Manager, then uninstall the Camera Device by right clickin on the device and selecting Uninstall option.

Once you uninstall the Driver, you can download and install the Camera Driver from the following link:

Download and install the Driver in your Computer. Then reinstall the ArcSoft WebCam Companion from the following link:

Then restart the Computer and use the Camera.

If the Built in Camera is not detected in the Device Manager, it means Hardware issue and service would be necessary.

However, you can use a USB Camera and use it with the USB Port in your Computer.

then go to webcam and click on it and setup your camera so it will operate on person.com. All web cam's have to be setup on a program so it will operate properly.

Assuming your laptop is XP then it should recognise the camera as another drive. Have you installed the Camera software that come on a disk? If so uninstall it and let Windows do the work. The other way is to invest in a cheap USB card reader
