Question about MTX Thunder TA7801 Car Audio Amplifier
When truck is running and radio is on, voltage is ok, but when i turn the amp on, lights dim one to two seconds, and no other problems util the power is turned off, this is repeated every time the car turns on and off
A large capacitor between your battery and the amp may help. Your alternator is most likely strained by the amp's power consumption. If you can't get a stronger alternator or suitable capacitor, you may nbeed to replace your battery and alternator more often than normal.
