Rhonda, In order to use your own pictures you will have to purchase futura option autopunch or photopunch. They start at around $200. I haven't been able to find any cheaper, as I am having the same problem. It is looking like it is a better deal to buy the ce-250 or higher. The additional software is included in the purchase & it is compatible with windows vista. (the lower models are not compatible & never will be).

Can you send me photo of bobbin winder assembly. I took it over to replace the rubber tire and cannot remember what goes where!

There are a great many styles of bobbin winder assembly. What sort of machine is it Judy? If you can supply brand and model it will be easier to assist you. Even a picture of the disassembled parts might help.

My thread got caught inside where the bobin is so I took out the bobin and the thread was still stuck. I took out the 2 metal pieces that hold the bobin in place and now I can't get them back in. Help?!

Insert the small metal piece into the big piece. Try turning it in a circle one way. It should fall into place. It it doesn't, take the small piece, flip it, and turn again in a circle. It's very easy. Or go to ebay under bobbins so that you can see a picture.

I purchased a CD Rom embroidery which had the usual formats on its cover, including art. which is what I need. I could open the CD on my computer, but when I tried to send it to my Artista 180, it told me...

How did you try to transfer the ART design to your 180? It needs Artlink by Bernina to do so or the Bernina Designer program. There are different ART versions and as I know, only the Designer can convert it to the version that your model can handle. I also own some CDs and never had any problem transferring any to a Personal Design card or stitching them out with my Bernina 165.

Putting the race back into the machine

The race thing as you call it does not look broken compared to mine. I don't see that you can put it back in wrong there should only be one way it would fit. The point goes to the back under the feed dogs.

Viking 190 sewing machine stuck on backstitch

Found the problem (s) with Viking stuck on backstitch!!!

Two problems:

A: machine is "gummed-up" form old grease.
Solution: degrease machine with a high quality degreaser.. I used a spray electrical degreaser from an automotive store. Turn the machine up-side-down to preform this!
Then relubricate machine. Use a high quality sweing machine lubricant! Also lubricate the inner parts with a qigh quality "Sewing machine" oil.

B: Found that the return spring from foreward to backward was tired.
Soultion: Replace with slightly stronger spring from local hardware store.

If you need pictures, I took very detailed pictures of the reverse mechanism and "return to forward" spring.

Shuttle alignment and assembly

The shuttle/race/bobbin system shouldn't really be taken apart by the average user. Unfortunately, your chances of ever getting it back together properly so the machine will sew (this is the timing of the machine) are very slim. You'll need to take it to a sewing machine technician. I would recommend an authorized Pfaff tech as they'll be sure to have the proper tools to do this correctly - won't be inexpensive but will be worth it. Most "neighborhood sewing machine repair folks" don't have experience on computer machines. Resetting timing on a computer machine isn't the same as the old mechanicals and requires some expertise.

NECCHI 525FA

I have a brand new 525FA. I can try to take a pic of it tomorrow for you. I may have to call my mom to see what part you need a picture of cause I'm not familiar with sewing machine parts at all. But I'll check with her. Or maybe you can take a pick of what you need to see. Then I can look at it, and take a pic of the same thing on mine.
