My daughter has a '97 dodge neon with no radio just a spot where one used to be. the wires are there but have no connector on the end except for the speakers and antenna. I bought her a kenwood reciever NO. 30600874
I was told that I am going to have to hard wire it now the only problem is the wires dont cordinate with each other so can you help me out here?
You will have to hard wire it. The wire diagram for the radio itself should be on the radio or in the manual. Now for the cars wiring you will have to look online or call a dodge dealer to get the wires. Here try this...http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/1.html. This tells you the color code for your car.

If the wire has a connector on the end it will go into a hole in the back of the radio. If it is just a regular black elec. wire that is the gound and you will need to connect the black wire comeing from the radio to it. I hope this helps!
here is the wire digram hope it helps

Metal Braid Or Plastic Connector Attached To Back Of Radio Is The Ground Wire
Pull the radio back out. I bet you hooked up both power wires (red and orange or yellow) to the ignition on hot wire. Orange or yellow depending on the radio usualy goes to the ignition on hot wire and red to a constant hot wire. Check the radio wiring diagram or list. One of the power wires has to go to a full time power source. check the wires with a circuit tester with the key off till you find the constant hot wire (battery power)
You may have used the dimmer wire to ground your radio and blown your fuse. First unplug your radio. This problem can be checked with a multimeter by seeing if the wire is grounded with the car off. Turn on the lights and see if it reads 12 volts on that wire. If so, use another ground wire or attach it to the truck's chassis earth.
If the original connector and wires are not messed up and your doing a direct replacement of your Factory Radio, your in good shape. Go to Best buy and get you and adpater to go from 2000 neon. If you have the one that direct couples and leaves wires to terminate to the JVC, then you will have to hook up by standard hookup colors. And it should be color to color from JVC to the Adapter cable. If your still have trouble, leave another comment here and I will get an alert to check in on you.
