Question about Pioneer AVIC-D3 Car DVD Player

1 Answer

AVID-D3 Navigation system has been installed for 6 months. The system continually is calculating and is not showing my present location on screen. The screen location that is displayed is not even close to my present location. I have removed the disc and re-inserted a identical disc from another AVID and the problem still exists. Have you experienced this and if so please advise.

Have installed the same head unit and can not understand why the current location is not automatically detected by the satellite. Everything else works a treat, except for navigation!!! :(

The D3 does not have a good navigation system in it, and because it is old and beyond its life cycle the fractional wear on the drive causes it to have trouble reading discs. Try cleaning the disc with a little water and soft cotton cloth. Do not touch the bottom of the disc after you clean it. If that does not work, then you need a new disc. You can try making a copy of the disc you have. If the program on the disc is good then you just need a copy that your unit will like. To make it simple.

I have a D3 system installed in my RV with side cameras. How do I get the rear camera and side cameras to display all the time?

Once you have your camera set up, press the map button on the left above the volume, if the navagation map comes up, press the map buttom again and you will be presented with other options that can be displayed including the view of the camera. Once you have it on that setting, every time you start your car, it will continue to show the cameras view until you change it.

Can you be more specific like what are you pairing your D3 with, and when you turn down the volume? The volume of the D3 or the pairing device? More info would be helpful.
