Question about Westinghouse L1975NW Monitor
Monitor powers up but no display. HP LCD monitor works fine on same computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
My monitor L1975NW was working fine for months. Today my labtop was on sleep mode and i went and hit the desktop instead of my external keyword. Not sure that is the reason why? it is now low resolution, I tried going to diplay settings (like i did before) but still low resolution. Somewhere I read that i had to download the driver. I cant find a CD that came with it ( idont even remember if it came with a drivr CD.
POINT IS: F%*^* doesnt diplay well and annoys me that WestingHouse has not tech suppor or any more info on how to solve it. they just basically tell you to do the samethign my own PC is adviging me to do. They ARE PROUD TO SAY that these monitors are PLUG-AND PLAY, but that is not the true. When i first bought it it took me an intire day to figured out, which now i dont remember, to make it disply with good quality.

After trying the solution above, I called the Westinghouse Digital Customer Service number at 866.287.5555 (look at the last page of your product manual). They thought it was the back light, but when I flashed a flashlight on the screen, no icons were visible. So they don't know what it is. Of course my monitor is a week past the one year warranty period. If yours is within a year of purchase, you can get a replacement from Westinghouse with your receipt.

You can check your monitor .Restart your system and press F8 till it appears "safe mode" then select safe mode and press enter if display comes.then run your system on that LCD monitor. When desktop appears right click on desktop blank area then select property option.then press setting tab and select advanced option. Then select monitor tab in next window and select minimum frequency(ex-60 hertz).
