Monitor was working fine for months. I turn it off at night when I go to sleep, then back on in the morning. This morning it wouldn't display anything. The monitor was on, but I couldn't see anything on the screen. If I turned it off, then back on, it briefly shows the picture, then blacks out again. Any help is appreciated.

I have had my Westinghouse LCD L1975NW for about a year and loved it. Up until last night that is. I have a blank screen and nothing seems to help. Shut it off, brought everything back up - the usual stuff. So far nothing....

I have the exact same problem with a L1975NW. Also, when I uninstall the nVidia drivers, the LCD works, but as soon as I install them again it turns off on windows startup.

Monitor working fine for months, then one morning when trying to get it to get out of hibernate from being on overnight, it would not show a display. When I turned it off and on again, it flashes the desktop for a second or two, then goes black again.

Same problem - goes black after start up. The only way to get an image is to turn the monitor power on/off. I tried the solution mentioned but it did not work. Help!

I have the same problem - after computer woke from sleep mode, the monitor indicator LED changed from amber to green, but the screen remained blank. Rebooting the computer gave the same results. I connected the L1975NW LCD monitor to my laptop. Using the video control panel, the laptop recognized the monitor (it listed the model number as a choice of output options), but still the same results - LED indicator light changes, but screen remains blank.

I purchased this monitor about 13 to 14 months ago, after the warranty period expired. I've noticed that almost all of the other postings on different websites for this problem also occurred after the warranty period expired.

If this is the case with you, please go to www.westinghouse.com and enter an online support request for the monitor - I think it's important to estabilish a track record of failure and drive westinghouse to issue a product recall or extend the warranty period.

Monitor brightness was fading all of the sudden. 1 hour later it's black - nothing at all and nothing works to bring it back. Just out of warranty!

My monitor L1975NW was working fine for months. Today my labtop was on sleep mode and i went and hit the desktop instead of my external keyword. Not sure that is the reason why? it is now low resolution, I tried going to diplay settings (like i did before) but still low resolution. Somewhere I read that i had to download the driver. I cant find a CD that came with it ( idont even remember if it came with a drivr CD.

POINT IS: F%*^* doesnt diplay well and annoys me that WestingHouse has not tech suppor or any more info on how to solve it. they just basically tell you to do the samethign my own PC is adviging me to do. They ARE PROUD TO SAY that these monitors are PLUG-AND PLAY, but that is not the true. When i first bought it it took me an intire day to figured out, which now i dont remember, to make it disply with good quality.

Any ideas?

After trying the solution above, I called the Westinghouse Digital Customer Service number at 866.287.5555 (look at the last page of your product manual). They thought it was the back light, but when I flashed a flashlight on the screen, no icons were visible. So they don't know what it is. Of course my monitor is a week past the one year warranty period. If yours is within a year of purchase, you can get a replacement from Westinghouse with your receipt.

You can check your monitor .Restart your system and press F8 till it appears "safe mode" then select safe mode and press enter if display comes.then run your system on that LCD monitor. When desktop appears right click on desktop blank area then select property option.then press setting tab and select advanced option. Then select monitor tab in next window and select minimum frequency(ex-60 hertz).

Hp lcd w2007 moniter keeps going to sleep. Please help!

Check the power saving option of your computer. You can find it under the Control Panel. Just look for Power Option then Turn off monitor. Just set it to never or the time you want your monitor to be on.

Hope that works for you.
I'll appreciate the feed back and the thumbs up.
Thanks.

When you power up the computer press F8 key 5 to 6 times so you can see safe mode and other menu then enter in "enable vga mode" then go to display property in control panel. Then change screen resolution to 1024*768 then apply you can also change the display from there. You can change desktop background and other display settings from start menu->control panel->display.. Let me know if you need further assistance. Thanks for using FixYa.

Resistors burnt on power supply board on L1975NW lcd monitor looking for that power supply board

This monitor has common problem with caps went bad and it will take out the fure and MOSFET in the inverter circuit. Do you know which resistor is burnt out? I usually only have to replace the caps, MOSFET, and the fuse.

LCD Shuts down

The monitor screen may be OK, but the monitor electronics are not. YOu state that the comuter works fine with a different monitor. That leaves out the video card. If you reall ywant confirmation of a bad  monitor, Try it on another computer ansdI am willing to bet that it  will again shut off.  Take it to a shop for repair or replace it.
