turned my phone on and now confronted with a pure white out screen.
It functions as in phone and music but I cant see anything but a white screen!

You have cracked the screen right at the bottom, i have just done thi to mine today, only mine has cracked half way up. Unlucky, take it to a phone shop and they should be able to send it off and rerpair it.
