I downloaded my videos off the camera, but i have no volume. How do I make the volume work?

in menu, you will sele sound memo, and adjust the volume.when your record your must press func/set button, you will get sound.

I think I've seen this before, check your user manual or download one from Vivitar (Follow links for support and downloads) I don't think you camera records audio with the video.

Please find the below steps to access Camera Assistant Software:
a. On the taskbar double-click the Camera Assistant Software icon , or from the Windows® Start menu, point to All Programs, Camera Assistant Software, and then click Camera Assistant Software. The Camera Assistant Toolbar location briefly displays on the desktop.
b. On the Camera Assistant Toolbar, click the Start Camera button and click on the icons on the software.
NOTE: If you are not hearing the audio portion of the video you created, try the following: Verify that you do not have the audio capture muted. An X appears on the Mute button when Mute is selected.
Click the Functions button, and then click the Audio tab. In the Audio Output section, verify that the Digital Mic is selected from the Audio Device drop down list, and then click Apply. In the Audio Volume section, use the slider bar to increase the volume level. Verify that the notebook's volume is not muted. Pressing the Fn+End keys mutes the volume. Pressing the keys a second time restores the volume. Increase the notebook volume level by pressing the Fn+PgUp keys.
If the the above steps are not working, then follow the below steps:

You can reinstall the WebCam drivers from the Acer recovery management, to do so:
Start Menu> All Programs> Acer erecovery management> Restore> Restore Application & Drivers> Contents> Select Acer Crystal Eye and install it

Got to http://gd.panam.acer.com/home/
Select the computer model
Select Operating System
Click Drivers
Select Camera (Suyin) and download it.
Once downloaded install it on your computer.

If still facing the issue, then you may need to perform full system recovery, to do so please follow the steps mentioned below

You can restore the computer back to factory default,to do so, follow the below steps: Turn OFF the computer, now as soon as you hit the power button, keep on holding "Alt" key
& keep on tapping "F10" key, i.e Alt+f10, it will open the recovery console, select full factory restore and follow onscreen instruction.
NOTE: This will erase all the datas on the computer.

That's because there is no volume. The ViviCam does not record audio with its video.

Please check volume button works on remote? Take any digital camera / mobile phone camera and see remote front through camera and press volume buttons, if you see IR LED blinking then remote is fine and amp has problem with volume. Let me know exact model of Sony amp to see its schematics.

Your PC might not have an appropriate audio decoder for your video files. You may try downloading and installing an MPEG-2 codec (such as this one http://www.softpedia.com/get/Multimedia/Video/Codec-Packs-Video-Codecs/Mpeg-AudioVideo-Filter.shtml) to get it working.

this also happened to my today as well... im also trying to find a solution

Check the volume on your computer. You may have to crank up the volume on your computer to hear it since the sound is not any where near quality sound.
