Sorry, I put this in "solution" section by error. I do very much appreciate this space. Please advise as to how to set time/date, welcome message on this machine. Bell South discontinued the model before manuals were produced.
For BellSouth model 1184 digital answering system:
To set day and time, hold down "time/code" button for a few seconds. Press "time/code" again to select what you want to change. To adjust the day, use the forward and backward arrow buttons to scroll through the days. When you find the correct day, press "time/code" again, and this will allow you to adjust the time. Again, use the arrow buttons to scroll through the hours, minutes, and am/pm, pressing the "time/code" button to set the correct selections and move onto the next setting option.
Hi, i sort of figured this out. call your # with the ans machine hooked up and "on" my code is 555 from the factory so use that one as soon as the system answers. then you will go into a remote menu. to change ogm press 4. to listen to your message press 3. use # as stop or help.erase 9, then 3, turn off system 9, then 5. change 3 digit pin code press9 then 1. system reset press 9 twice. help menu 0. good luck
