    Thank you!

Okay, it's an x15 plus and I'm running XP Professional.

Intel Centrino Mobile Technology (Pentium M)

NVIDIA GeForce FX Go 5200 64MB

    USB2.0, IEEE1394, Memory Stick slot

    Digital Audio out, S-Video

    ... Did I miss anything?

    Thanks

Hi Caducus,

If you can provide detailed information on the model of your Samsung notebook (as well as which version of Windows you are running) we can provide a driver link for you.

Thanks,
Ben

    Hi Cadacus,

Do you have a Wireless connection or any other way to get out to the Internet with your Samsung? Their site doesn't seem to have any support for the X15 series.

If you have a connection using your wireless (or can use a PCMCIA ethernet card temporarily) try going to www.driveragent.com and running the free scan. This will scan the hardware in your laptop and will let you know in a detailed list if it can find a driver for your ethernet adapter.

Otherwise, I would suggest flipping the laptop over and reposting with all the pertinent numbers (model, serial, etc.) and perhaps we can use that to find the driver.

    Ben

Lan terminal not working

first check for all the drivers in the device manager.... if every thing is perfect in driver side, then check if the ethernet/ lan is enabled....
then check is the light in the ethernet adapter is lit, when you plug any ethenet cable in it... still if it is not working, then finally try to update the latest driver for the ethernet controller.... if nothing works, then buy an pci ethernet card and use it..... you can also buy external cards like usb to ethernet converter... even belkin manufactures usb to ethernet controller....

My Ethernet card doesn't work on my n845wn Intel

It's possible the drivers are not installed.. To check if drivers are properly installed for the Ethernet card, if you have win XP
* go to Start>Control Panel>System> click on Hardware tab, then Device Manager
- once you're on Device Manager, look for network adapter, you should see something like "Via Rhine II Fast Ethernet Adapter", this is just an example, you may have a different brand of Ethernet adapter
- if you can see the Ethernet Adapter and it has a green icon beside it, it should be working fine, you can also double click on it, to view the Status
- if you don't see the Ethernet Adapter on the list, look under the section "Other Devices", if you see an "Ethernet Controller" on the list with a yellow exclamation point, it means the drivers for the Ethernet Adapter were not installed, which means the drivers has to be re-installed
- you need the manufacturer cd for the drivers

*Now if there's no "Ethernet Controller" on Other Devices section, it's possible the Ethernet card is not being detected by the computer
- you may have to unplug the Ethernet card physically from the computer (computer must be completely turned off) then try to insert the Ethernet card again and boot up the computer, if the computer detects the Ethernet card, you need to install the drivers
- If the computer doesn't detect the Ethernet card, most probably it's busted. You may have to replace it.. You can also try to install the Ethernet card on a different computer just to check if it's really the Ethernet card or the motherboard that's the problem..

Network Adapter/Ethernet Controller

Nothing wrong with having two network adapters installed on your computer. If you have this DWA-552 wireless adapter installed as well as an onboard NIC, the correct thing to do is have both drivers installed so you see them both in your Control Panel->Network Connections window.

If you really want the onboard nic to go away, go into device manager and disable it - not uninstall it.
