What kind of user best benefits from the Accu POS Retail point of sale system?

The AccuPOS Retail Pos Software was developed with small to mid-sized retail operations in mind. This particular segment of the retail market typically relies on QuickBooks, BusinessWorks or Peachtree financial accounting software to track business activities and manage their accounting. AccuPOS Retail offers a key advantage over competing products - that being that it integrates seamlessly with the aforementioned accounting systems. This integration means that no new procedures or feature sets must be learned in order to operate the system effectively. How To Run Data Verification In Peachtree Accounting

<p>Data Verification is a Peachtree utility that allows you to verify if any of your data files are missing or possibly damaged. During the verification process, Peachtree makes any needed changes so that your data records are compatible with Peachtree data formats. For example, if an ID in a data record has more than the maximum allowable characters, Peachtree will truncate the ID. Also, any files that Peachtree finds to be corrupt and unusable are deleted during the verification process. <br /> Following verification, Peachtree generates a log that details all errors encountered and reports on any changes made, as well as any corrupt records deleted. Follow these steps to run the test:<br /> <ol> <li>In your company, from the <b>Tasks</b> menu select <b>System</b>, <b>Change Accounting Period</b>.</li> <li>Highlight the first <b>Accounting Period</b> on the list and click <b>OK.</b></li> <li>From the <b>File</b> menu, select <b>Data Verification</b>.</li> <li>Select the <b>Both Tests</b> (recommended) option from the menu and click <b>Start</b>. <br /></li> <li>You will be prompted to make a <b>backup</b> of your Peachtree data. This is a required step. Click <b>Save</b>. The data verification test will begin automatically when the backup is complete.</li> <li>If no errors were found, click <b>Close</b>. If errors were found, you can examine the details of the tests by clicking the <b>View Error Log</b> button.</li> <li>To change back to the current Accounting Period follow steps 1 and 2 above.</li></ol>

How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile

This article describes how to copy user data from your Windows XP profile to a new profile.
When you copy user data into a new profile, the new profile becomes a near duplicate of the old profile, and contains the same preferences, appearance, and documents as the old profile. If your old profile is corrupted in some way, you can move the files and settings from the corrupt profile to a new profile.
Note The method that is described in this article may not transfer the Outlook Express e-mail messages and address user data that are associated with the user profile where you are transferring data from. When you delete the old profile, you may delete that data if it you do not first transfer it by using other methods. For more information about transferring Outlook Express user data, click the following article number to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

Go to Start ----Control panel----User accounts-------Manage another account------ Create New account. This way you can create user ccount and name it as you want in WIN7. Win xp it is same only the user account you'll find creat new account option.

How to delete a ledger which closed with zero balance in previous year

In computer accounting system.....
as a cardinal rule, and to keep audit trail, no a/c or ledger system can / should be deleted once it's been opened and used, even if there has bee no transaction for the full year, it can just be disabled.
Most of the accounting softwares (ERP) systems do not alow for deletion of any a/c once it's been used even for just one transaction
(it's can be marked as disabled, temp-closed, perm-closed but can never be deleted) ......well...on the oither hand if that were to happen.....there could be more scams all over the financial world....

Add a excel format in tally

Sir,

What to Export ?
Tally has a facility to export its data to other applications like spreadsheets, word processing software and other database software. Export of data is provided mainly for summaries and statement reports like Trial Balance, Stock Summary, etc. You can export it to another company using Tally that will import it directly.

How to Export?
You can export all reports and statements. For this a separate export button is provided in right hand button bar. To do this go to any report e.g. day book you to export or any statement e.g. balance sheet. You would see export button on top right hand side on button bar. Press it and a screen would pop up with export related options.

The first option is format of data to be exported namely ASCII, HTML, SDF, and XML. Which ever application you are importing this data in would decide in which format you should export the data.
For statements like balance sheets and trial balance which we use to send and import file in word and excel etc. HTML format is good. We need minimum formatting in this format while using it in MS Word and MS Excel.
certain applications accept continuous data where we have defined field length. Then ASCII format is better.
For application which accept SDF and XML format these formats can be chosen.

Give a file name and the exported file is saved in the parent Tally directory on your computer. You can now use that file to import its contents into another program, send it as it is (say if it is HTML file) to a colleague or view it using a browser.

Thanks
Good Luck
