    Hello Paul.

    Its a Delongi dfg 903

  • barneseyo Feb 29, 2008

Sorry I've been a while. Yes your right. Its a spring mechanism that stops the door from going over 90 deg.

Thanks for your effort but I've done that. Its a complete swine and I've eventually done it by more or less dismantling the outside panel of the cooker itself and brute force. Take care and thanks agian

Hi it looks like the best way of doing this si to remove the oven door completely from the oven undo at both hinges undo it from the oven itself leaving the hinges in the door then once the door is off you will be able to see where the hindge is held onto the door.
So undo door from the oven completely this will make it easyier for you to work on as well as its easyer to remove the hinges from the door when its off the oven let me know if you get me this far

It is usual to be able to adjust oven door hinges.
Normally the only solution is to replace the hinges.
Hope this helps.

How to put oven door back on after removing!

Although very tight (because the oven is only 1 yr old) i managed to get the hinges into the open position, then slide the door into position on the oven and close the door. The hinges did go back and lock as they should but I struggled for almost 30 mins before success.

I have a wall oven, a St George single oven. The

Depending on model-
Put the door at an opening of about 100mm. You should feel an indent for thecorect position.
You will probably need 2 people, 1 each side,
Slide the door upward at an angle same as hinge, It will slide off the hinge.

If the hinge is broken, and they usually break inside the wall of the oven, it will be very difficult to slide it off the broken hinge.
Hinges are available from EDIS SPARES 1800 125 039

Jenn-Air electric wall oven door opens slightly when in bake mode

you either have a bent door hinge or a broken door spring.
check the hinges by opening the door and see if it opens past 90 degrees. if it leans towards the floor then the hinges are bent.
if not then your door springs are broken off. you can check this by seeing if the door "feels" heavy when opening.
either way the door should close tight against the frame when up and the light should not come on without opening the door.

Adjustment to door hinge, as door does not close completely

In most cases door hinges needs to be replace but some time with old stile ovens and ranges help this trik:
1. Put small towels on right and left hinge between the door and range/oven body
2. Close door and gently push like you try to close completely.
3. Try several times.
4. Open door, remove towels and see if it helps
5. If not replace hinges
