Try power-cycling your router and/or broadband modem and seeing if that brings your network back up for you. If that doesn't fix it there could be a variety of related issues such as a corrupted winsock, that sort of thing.

If simply power-cycling the equipment doesn't work let us know and we'll move onto the next step.

Acquiring network address (Limited or no connectivity)

1.Check whether you are typing the correct key
2.Remove the preferred networks
3.Disable WLAN/LAN and Enable it
4.Assign static IP address in the range of modem
5.Add the network manually with the security settings

Dell Inspiron 8600 validating problems

This is a problem associated with a wireless connection. What it is asking for is the identity of your wireless lan. That is, the name the router is broadcasting. This is called the network ID.and is what you must supply when asked. If you untick the IEEE.802.1 you disable the connection. You will also need to have the nework securety code (WEP) to logon.

Lost connection to server

If youre connected online with that game, i think the problem will most likely be on your internet connection,you can check if your internet connection is stable by pinging any website. You can try open up Windows Command Prompt if your using windows and type ping www.yahoo.com.

If youre referring to offline games and connected via network lan, you should check your LAN card if its ok by pinging your Lan address which is 127.0.0.1.

Or if your not connected on Network Lan, then you should try reinstalling the game.

I am trying to connect a second laptop to my netgear router but I can only get limited or no connection?

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Initially, let's try a quick fix:
  • determine and copy the details of the Networking of any of the other computers that can connect without a problem including the IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default Gateway and DNS servers;
  • open the Network properties of the LAN card or the WiFi card on the second laptop that has limited or no connection;
  • highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP);
  • click on the Properties button;
  • tick "Use the following IP Address"
  • enter the copied details (numbers) from the other computer;
  • the only difference would be that the new IP address should be slightly different;
  • example if the copied IP address is 192.168.0.11, pls make the new IP address 192.168.0.110;
  • all others stay the same.
Good luck and Thank you for using FixYa. Happy Holidays.

Trying to connect to my home wi-fi using laptop with installed linksys wpc54g wireless adapter but the problem is when i use linksys utility it starts, but can't find wifi lans i see frozen word searching...

limited or no connectivity means your wlan not communicating with the router, check if you turn on the wlan switch on your laptop or try to install updated driver for you wlan

if thats a external wireless lan card try to unplug and plug it back.
