There should be an audio input next to or near the VGA connector on the TV. Usually red & white RCA or 3.5mm socket.

Connect this input to the audio or speaker output on the PC.

My gateway computer power light blinks and moniter says no signal.turn it off held then power button on for 30 seconds.then turned it back on.same as before.

Hello,
I don't think this has anything to do with the monitor since it is showing "no signal". this is an indication that the monitor is working.
Problem is from the connection between the computer and the monitor or from the computer itself.
Check the VGA cable and make sure it is firmly fixed into the computer and monitor.
Open the computer case, disconnect the keyboard, mouse, and every other thing apart from the VGA cord, then try again.
If there is still no signal, turn computer off again, remove it's power cord, then remove the system Ram, clean it and fix it back in. Then make sure the VGA card is well fixed into the mother board. After that, connect only he VGA cord and try again.
If non of the above seems to work, connect the computer to another monitor, and connect the monitor to another computer in other to confirm which is having a fault so that we can focus on it.
Keep me posted.
Good luck.

I cant figure out what chords i need

Take the monitor to any computer-store.
They can inspect the connectors, and sell you the correct cords (not "chords").

What dvi cable do i need?

Any bog standard dvi cable should work. As should a dvi to vga converter. Dvi is by far the better interface, and I would highly recommend using it, without any converters. I don't believe you can up convert vga to dvi, but you can certainly downgrade a dvi signal to vga, but i can't see why you would want to...

I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!! PROVIEW 19" MONITER.

Does the led on front of the monitor stay blue or does it become amber ?
If it becomes amber, then you are not getting a signal.
No harm in trying this : You can try to see if it is a contact problem.
With the monitor unplugged.
Use a small paper clip to run in and out of the blue vga plug holes a few times each to make sure they are not plugged or gummed up.
If that doesn't help and you know that your video cord is good, then I am afraid to say that more than likely there is a problem with yor video card.

If it stays blue then the signal is there but the screen isn't fully lighting up, leading to a failing power-inverter board or a bad bulb.

open it up and look for defective capacitors on the video input board and replace them. Should probably replace the 470uf caps on the power board while you are in there.
