Question about Vacuums

1 Answer

I have a samsung SC7800 (smart wing system) vacuum cleaner. I think the impeller is jamed with sawdust. I have removed the part than holds the removable filter, but can't see how to remove the reat of the top case to access to impeller housing. Does anyone know how to do this or where I can view a repair manual for this model?

Why does it emit a high-pitched squeal (while running)?

This is usually caused by a belt being too tight or the wrong size. It can also be caused by something wrapped around the brush (like loose thread from a rug or yarn, shoestring etc. Try inspecting the brush and belt.

I need operating manual for vapor white wing steamer

This is from an Amazon review. I have misplaced my manual and was searching for a pdf file without any luck. I think I have it under control if I only knew where to put my distilled water.Basic operation of the WhiteWing is:

1. Fill the tank with distilled water
2. Attach the hose to the steamer.
3. Attach the extension handles and attachment you want.(Be sure to watch the video and read the instruction booklet. Some of the attachments have specific uses and setup instructions)
4. Lock the finger trigger.
5. Plug it in.
6. Turn it on.
7. Wait 20 min. or until the pressure gauge reads between 3.5-4.5.
8. Get ready to rock - press the steam release button, unlock the finger trigger and start steaming.

For many jobs such as countertops, shower stalls, stovetops, you will need to follow behind the steam, wiping with a cloth to remove the released dirt from the surface. Some jobs may require you to start with a non-toxic cleaner or grease remover such as Orange Clean or Method brand cleaners. Remember, you'll be breathing in vaporized cleaner. So be sure it's something non-toxic and non-irritating. I prefer the Method brand cleaners.

Does not dispence water and cleaner consistently.

If you have stored your cleaner with cleaning solutions in it you have a broken impeller in your water pump. The cleaning solutions separate while in storage and build up in your pump. Once you start the cleaner is breaks the plastic impeller. Its an in-expensive part but, a real pain to change.

Spilled oil in boot of the car how do you get it out

put down cat litter or sawdust and sweep it out. repeat this until no more will absorb. then if it is carpeted use foaming spot cleaner and follow the directions. If not carpeted, use Dawn and warm water to remove remaining residue. ( this will work okay on carpet as well, if you have nothing else to use.) farmerbear at FixYa.com

My Dyson DC25 is squealing. Can you please help

It could be 1 of 3 things:

1. The belt that drives the beater bar.
2. An impeller that has a broken wing or 2, throwing it off balance.
3. Or, the bearings in the motor are going out.

Hope this helps,

Jim

Vacuum has become very loud screaching sound

Yes, I would say the crack is causing the screaming sound.

Usually the fan (impeller) is held on with a left-hand nut. To remove it, you have to hold the motor somewhere (sometimes you can just hold the impeller), put a wrench on the shaft nut and turn it clockwise. The impeller should then just pull off (with possibly some wd-40 and a little muscle).

I think I picked up a nail with my Hoover Legacy Two, Vacuum Cleaner. It made a terrible sound and i sh ut it off immediately. I can't locate our manuel. How do I get into the propeller area, to extract...

I removed the plastic tip of the suction adjustment lever, and then easily pried the plastic housing covering and protecting the motor. Once the motor was exposed one could see the 1.5 inch screw, quite easily. With a pair of vise grips the screw, with some difficulty, was extracted from the fan wing. I replaced the housing and found the vacuum cleaner worked as well as before. I applied goop to the lever tip, put it back where it belonged, and allowed it to dry overnight.
