I need an owners manual for a Panasonic double dect phone/fax/copier.

You can download the KX-TG12033S manual here, but this is a phone, not a fax/copier. If you want a manual for a different device, please repost your question and specify the model of the device.

How to receive a fax--i can send a fax but not receive

Not sure what this has to do with a 7630 phone, but you forgot to mention if the fax machine rings when a call comes in and if it's set up to answer on incoming calls, or is it just not ringing at all.

If the call goes out, dial 800-444-4444 and double check the line the fax machine is on. Make sure you're not dialing "9" to get an outside line, and if it happens to be truly on a TDA phone system, then the jack you're using has to be programmed to ring.

I have 3 CO lines coming in. I want the 3rd to be available, but not to ring (it is the fax line). How can i have the first two ring, but not the 3rd?

TDA ringing is controlled by ICD groups. If the fax is part of the system (an extension) then you need to set up an ICD group (like #2) that puts the fax extension in it and rings only the fax. If your fax is external to the phone system but you still want to use the fax line, then you take the incoming CO out of any ring group at all (leave the column blank). All of this requires installer access or a really good read on the PTPM manual.

KX T7630: cannot transfer to the fax machine ... transferred call to fax gets "bounced back" to phone ...

If the fax is an exteinsion on the system, make sure the fax is programmed to answer on the first ring. You may have it set to 4 and the transfer recall timer is set to 3 so it recalls before the machine answers.

Check you fax programming at the fax menu.

I have a panasonic hybrid phone system and would like to connect a fax machine, when I connect the fax to the jack, I dont get a dialtone but it goes to the intecom line. The same happens if I connect a...

Hello, you can solve this one of two ways. Try pushing a 9 when you get intercom line, you should get an outside line. So when you want to send a fax, just remember to push a 9, get outside dial tone then dial your number. Or, the second option would be to program that extension jack to auto select a line when going off hook. That will take a manual and some additional guidance. Okay, so thats for making outgoing calls. When it comes to incoming calls, you need to find out what extension the fax is connected to. You can do this by dialing another extension that has a display from the fax machine and see what intercom number comes up on the phones display. So once you know the extension number you can do one of two things. You can leave the fax off since it will most likely ring when any call comes in your office, and only turn it on when receiving a fax. When you answer the fax call on one of your other phones, and hear the beep beep beep, merely push transfer and dial the fax machines extension. That will transfer the incoming fax call to that extension and the fax machine provided you have it turned on. The other option is to break out the system manual(not user guide), and program the fax machines extension to only ring on the line you want it to, say your last line and leave the fax machine on and give out that specific number for faxes. But you do run the risk of your call traffic being heavy, incoming calls rolling over to that line or someone calling that number directly and getting the fax. I think I covered everything I can with the limited information on your application, so I hope that solved your problem.

Panasonic Phones are on mute and will not work

The following is generic for most cordless phones:

Did you check to make sure that the phone is not in the intercom mode? If this phone has a base station speaker phone, make sure it is not on mute. Some of these phones have a fax connection. Make sure your phone line is not accidently pluged in to the fax section. Also if the phone has a fax monitoring feature check the the setup menu that the fax is not enabled. If the phone has an answering machine mode, make sure that this feature is turned off.

In the worse case:
There may be a defect in the X-Mit section of the phone. I would suspect the fault to be in the base.
