Screen turn to white & cant recovery the system

Your laptop HAS turned back on.

One thing that is a problem is that the operating system hasn't finished loading.

You may need to use the recovery routine, or the hard disk could be dying.

follow the steps supplied below from your manual.

To recover the original factory image using the utilities on your computer's internal storage drive:

1Make sure the computer is turned off.

2Press and hold the 0 (zero) key on your keyboard while powering on the computer.

3If your system offers a choice of Windows® 7 32-bit or 64-bit

operating system, select one at this time. If not, skip to step 4.

4A warning screen appears, stating that when the recovery is

executed all data will be deleted and rewritten. Click

Yes to continue.

5When the Toshiba Recovery Wizard opens and the Selecting a

process screen displays, select

Recovery of Factory Default Software and then click Next.

6The Recovery of Factory Default Software screen appears.

Select

Recover to out-of-box state.

7 Click Next.

A confirmation message displays reminding you that all data

will be lost during the recovery process.

8Click Next to begin the recovery.

When the process is complete, a message displays indicating

that the internal storage drive has been recovered.

9Press any key on the keyboard to restart the computer.

you could try going to recovery and repairing windows, this wipes ya windows files but then puts them back on without harming programs and files!

Hi, I do apologize for the inconvenience you have been facing.The reason why the laptop does not reboot to Windows even after reinstalling Windows is because the issue is with the hard drive not being recognized the reason for which you get a blinking line on the screen after the Acer logo .In this case I would suggest that if the laptop is under warranty please contact the Acer Technical support and have an order placed for repair.

If you have the recovery disk of your laptop.First boot cd/dvd rom drive and load the recovery software and follow on the screen instructions. That will restore your computer factory settings but be careful and not to forget to back up or save your data or files before recovering your system.

If you can resume or turn back to windows desktop, try updating your windows or downloading updates from Microsoft to fix some bugs or errors.

Try to load the sys in the recovery manager trough the F10 key and do a system restore to a date previous the update.
If that doesnt work than u have to load trough the safe mode trough F8 and do the sys restore.
If that doesnt work u will have to do a recovery on the sys.
Turn off the Windows update its no god use to ur sys

Use the disks that came with the computer to restore the Vista software. Or purchase windows 7 on thursday Oct. 22nd.

run the command rstrui.exe to restore the system if it does not work only way is to reinstall os

Have you tried doing a system recovery using the "hot" keys for the machine. Contact ASUS support for the instructions.
