I have got a big experience of working with zip files. But some days ago I ran against an unpleasant complication, which was easily resolved one tool. Which on my opinion might help for you too - fix zip.

Zamzar now offers the conversion of ZIP archives to Roshal archives, but the drawback is you can only convert one file at a time if you're not a paid member. It is recommended for those that have not owned a WinRAR.

Unzip the files and again rar it.!!! u cant convert zip to rar directly!!

I agree with iranthavan. Use Winrar. Don't know about older versions than mine, but I have version 3.70 and use it to convert zip files to rar files. You can even convert batches of files. :)
