hmm... how did you know that its the amp problem, changing antenna alone is not adequate to tell there might be other problems than just RF amplifier at the RF front end, you need to let electronic shop check the current and voltages

My 7200 is now failing to acquire satellites. Two different external antennae were tried. The internal antenna also acquires nothing. So I'm sure the failure rests with the RF front-end amplifier. This amp is on one of the two main circuit boards within the 7200. Does anyone out there (repair shop) sell this circuit board so that I can make the repair? Garmin wants $300.

Hello,

Try running and installing or reinstalling the latest update using the Garmin WebUpdater.
download the latest version of WebUpdater software
Usually this will resolve most issues.
Failing that, the GPS receiver is replaceable as per Garmin's $190 to repair.

Rino 530 keeps loosing signal was hunting in Canada using rino while walking . keeps saying no satalite

The GPS needs a clear view of the sky and at least 3 or more satellites to get a fix on your position. If you are under a heavy canopy of tree cover / brush, it can affect accuracy and even the GPS's ability to get a fix at all. Also, if you are in a mountainous region, the geometry of your location and the location of the satellites over the equator could be obstructed, resulting in the lost satellite messages. You must have an unobstructed view of the southern sky to get a fix.

If you are able to get a fix in an open area, the GPS is able to do its job, but the location you're trying to use it in is offers too much interference to capture satellite signals.

Making sure you've got the latest firmware from Garmin can solve a lot of troubles, too. If you still believe that your GPS isn't working the way it should, contact Garmin Support.

I hope this helps - and good luck. Please rate my reply - thank you.

My Garmin 765t stopped navigating

There should be a small reset switch on the back of most garmin gps units. with the unit on, depress the reset switch with a pen tip or small object until the unit shuts off and restarts. It may take a little longer to pick up the satellite but it will reque the unit and unlock the navigation screen.

Battery replacement now ca't find satellite Garmin c320

I had the same issue with the only difference that I haven't replaced the battery yet. When my unit can't locate or acquire satellites I change between GPS and WAAS mode. Within 45 seconds my unit successfully locates satellite. After some time if I disconnect unit I might have to switch it back to GPS and so on, and so on, and so on. It worked for me for past 3 months... Hope it will help you...

New Garmin 330 stuck on kansas

Take the unit outside and turn it on. Then select View Maps, at the top of the screen it will say either "Locating satellites" or "Acquiring Satellites". Once the garmin has locked onto the overhead satellites, then it will say "Ready to Navigate".

Locating Satellites take longer than Acquiring Satellites.
