Question about Linksys WUSB300N Wireless Adapter

1 Answer

Cyclic redundancy check

When installing, it gets to 30% then a pop up window appears with the words:
Component: Main App
File Group: Diagnostic
File: D:\Utility\data2.cab
Error: Data Error (cyclic redundancy check).

Then it just stays at the 30% forever and doesn't move anymore, i would love it if somebody could help me please.

It sounds as if the install software is corrupted.

Download a new copy and try again.

The Linksys download page is here.

Go to your Device Manager and uninstall the drivers for your Network Adapter, then close all open windows and restart you computer. When you get back to your desktop (main page on your computer) wait for a small window to pop up and tell you that the drivers have installed successfully, then try to get online again.

Sony UWA-NA1 - no available driver for Windows? what specs does it have? It seems that with a Giga Juke Hifi-stereo, it will only communicate with WEP encryption, but the Wireless Giga Juke player station...

I found it! Sony UWA-NA1 USB Wireless Adaptor is a OEM products of Quanta Microsystems Inc, it's using the same USB adaptor as Ralink RT73 USB Wireless LAN card with RT2571WF chipset. I did it work ok in window 7 64-bit. But in the link below, its support XP, Vista as well.
1. Download Drivers for XP/Vista/Win7 here: http://www.station-drivers.com/page/ralink.htmChoose Ralink RT257x/RT2671/RT520x (RT73 series USB Wireless LAN)
2. After download it, run it to install the Ralink Wireless App, check for the driver only. When it done, find the folder it has installed. 3. Open device manager in window managerment, choose the Wireless USB (have no driver with yellow !), right-click, update driver software..
3.a Click "Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer". Find the "Network adaptor" in the category devices list, click on it, OK.
3.b In a new window name "Select Network Adapter", choose "Have Disk..." then browse the path of folder Ralink has installed. Your will see a file "netr7364.inf" (may be in XP-32bit or Win7 32bit you will a difference *.inf file). Click on it, click open, then OK.
3.c In the left box, find Ralink Technology Corp. click on it, the find RT73 USB Wireless LAN card, then click NEXT, a "Update Driver Warning" pop-up will appears, just click yes. Then windows will install the driver for Sony UWA-NA1 as "RT73 USB Wireless Card". Good luck! (You may try another devices in the list at your own at risk)P/s: Sorry for my bad english! Are you running 64 bit Vista?

If so you will need 64 Bit drivers for the device

Download this file

http://www.dynexproducts.com/skins/skin_1/Topics/Drivers/DX-EBUSB_2.03.05_Setup.exe

DO NOT CONNECT THE DEVICE UNTIL IT TELLS YOU

When the windows warning pops up, Install the driver anyway. then connect the device, that should fix the problem It worked on my 64bit Vista Ultimate

You have used the System Configuration Utility to make changes to the way Windows starts.

The System Configuration Utility is currently in Diagnostic or Selective Startup mode, causing this message to be displayed and the utility to run every time Windows starts.

Choose the Normal Startup mode on the General tab to start Windows normally and undo the changes you made using the System Configuration Utility.

Can't Connect to wireless router

First, if you are using XP, and installed the Dlink Adapter Utility on your computer, you need to turn off the Windows Zero Wireless Configuration Utility in the Services Panel.. (it is not a good idea to run both the Proprietary Utility (Dlink) AND the Windows Utility..

If you did not install this Dlink Utilty, Ignore the following!

Start > Run > services.msc (ok)

Services Window pops up.

Scroll down to the Windows Zero Wireless Configuration and Disable it.

Now, try to connect again and see if the password box comes up!

BTW: you need to make sure that the type of Encryption you setup on the router is compatible with your card. In other words, make sure that if you enabled WAP that the card supports it...

Zyxel Zyair B-220 802.11B Wireless Adapter

This will be happening because of a driver conflict. Uninstall all drivers to do with adapter, then re- install your Zyair software and then plug in your adapter, but force windows to look where you have downloaded the driver in other words not automatically install but manually when the option pops up. It may be you have to connect your adapter first then install drivers.
