My dishwasher does not clean the dishes even though it completed the full cycle

is it a film or spots? if so its your water and not the dishwasher actually. go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and check out their filter system. it works great and should solve your problem.

Dishes not getting clean. Long cycles.

half a jug of CLR in the bottom of the machine on a full wash cylce will do wonders. Set it to the longest and hotest setting. let it run until the bottom fills and let it set for about 30 mins to an hour....The longer the better you chances of getting it right on the first try. Keep stopping your machine for each fill and let it cycle through.
run atleast one more cycle before you put dishes in their.
HOT WATER CARRIES MORE MINERALS THAN COLD WATER!!!!!!!!
Naturally, hot water dissolves more minerals than cold water. This allows for a larger change of mineral build up at junctions, especially those exposed to air. Try a toothpick in the holes on the sprayer, just be careful not to push it all back in and create a blockage

The dishes coming out dirty on my Whirlpool Gold Quiet Partner IV. Cycle seems to complete. The soap is being used. Not sure how old it is ... it came with a house I just bought. Any suggestions?

Clean the jets on the unit. Jets are the small openings the water comes out of. Contact Whirlpool, follow their recomondations, or add some CLR or Lime Away to the washer without a load of dishes. Both products remove Calcium Lime and Rust deposits which impede the flow of water, causing your dishes to come out dirty

How do I clean off calcium deposit from dishwasher coils? I have calcium build-up on the bottum coils of my dishwasher and my dishes come out filmy.

Hello,
I suggest you descale your machine with a cleaner such as C.L.R. Any cleaner with Phosphoric Acid will do a good job. The best way to clean your dishwasher is to pour a litre of this cleaner into your machine, and run a complete cycle. (without dishes in the machine) You may need to repeat this process every month depending on the hardness of your water.

We have a GE dishwasher with upper and lower sprayers. The upper sprayer (one located right under top rack) won't spray or turn which leaves the dishes in upper rack dirty, any suggestions on how to fix...

try c.l.r. to clean dishwasher check and clean lower and upper spray arms out, run no detergent you can also run vinegar in it as well about a cup full, let the machine start to run then stop dish washer for a few hours then restart see if this works for you use a short cycle.

Maytag performa dishwasher PDBL390AWB - dirty dishes

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and get their new product. It filters the water and takes out the hard minerals that cause spots and clog dishwashers. It is very affordable and has a money back guarantee.

Water seems to be hot enough, drains properly, arnms not blocked, dishes not being cleaned at end of cycle. Almost seems like it is skipping the wash cycle.

Hi smiller8565,
There is 3 basic problems that will cause a dishwasher to not clean the dishes. You can check these problems and see if any will solve your problems.
1: If there is water or suds left in the dishwasher after the cycle is complete. This will cause dirty water to be used in the final rinse and the dishes will not get clean.
2: The pump that supplies water to the spray arms is jammed or defective and unable to pump the water properly, thus causing the dishes to remain dirty.
3: Timer, the timer is not allowing the machine to work in the wash cycle.
The solutions for these 3 are as follows.
1: check the drain line for blockage, if you have a disposal make sure it is clear and water flows down the drain properly. If you have suds left in the dishwasher, clean them out and run a couple cycles with not detergent to rinse away the old suds.
2: Look down in the bottom for any obstructions in the pump. Popcorn seeds, broken glass, etc.
3: If the unit is skipping the wash cycle you will most likely need a new timer or control assembly.
Good luck and I really hope this will Fix Ya
Mike
