5071HD switch, power supply problem??

The blue light blinks several times then pauses then blinks again. If I unplug and plug it in the TV will work but if the switch is pushed the remote does not work and I cannot get the TV back on until I unplug again. I just got the TV back from repair, it used to turn itself off and also it would just say "Warming up ..." and not work. My TV is less than a year old. Boy, I think I got the lemon.

HI:
This is a plasma unit and philips plasma's are nortorious for bad power supplys, your problem may very well be the power suppy in the television, it is possible you blew a low B+ fuse on the power supply. There is also a issue with the Y-sustain board failing in this model, If you open the back and looking at the unit from the rear the y board is on the left side of the unit and the PS is in the center. disconnect the Y-sustain power plug from the power supply and turn on the unit if the unit stays on with no red light then the y board is bad. it does the same then replace the Power Supply.

10 red blinking lights on my Panasonic Plasma TV, will pause for few seconds, then blinks again. TV will not power on.

This is a power supply issue - found a company that has used power supplies, they sell them for $60.00. We recommend a professional install the board because the voltage needs to be adjusted after the install or you could damage something else. The high voltage in the set can KILL you soe be very careful. The web address for the PS board is plasmafix.com.

My Sony Trinitron has stopped working mid viewing. The on/off/stand by light just flashes. Any idea how to get the TV back on?

You can try unplugging the TV power chord, leave unplugged for several hours, then plug back in and try it.
If no results you will need it serviced as there are many possibilities. If the light is blinking in a pattern, example flashes three times then pauses then flashes three times again, the number of times it is blinking can give the servicor a clue as to what circuit is at fault.

RCA D52W19BYX2 power light blinks once pauses, blinks a 2nd time, pauses, and blinks a 3rd time. Wait about 65 secs and it will do it again. Happens whether I use the remote or the switch on the set. Also,...

try unplugging the tv overnight, then plugging it in when you want to watch it.

i guess there is some safety switch on the processor inside the tv itself that kicks itself on...stupid.

that is the only "band-aid" i have found that works

Sony Triniton Wega Model KV 32HS510. After pushing the power button, the tv starts to power up, then the standby light blinks 7 times then pauses before blinking 7 times again. It continues to do this,...

This is usually an indication of a failure in the scan amplifier sections. When the scan amplifiers or high voltage sections fail, the main power supply will usually also require servicing.

It is very common that the fly-back and high voltage multiplier and also the horizontal output stage fails in these sets. Along with it, the power supply will usually require to be serviced. On rare occasions, the vertical deflection amp fails.

Power supply for dmtech wt20xt lcd tv

I have DMtech 20" with intergrated DVD and had the same problem- blue light lit on power switch but no response on power up.
I noticed that when the power cord was unplugged from the back of the TV the green LED on the power supply would brighten and consequently dim when plugged back in. Sometimes the blue light on the power switch would strobe very quickly but you had to look carfully for this.
I repeatedly unplugged the DIN type power plug from the back of the TV untill the green light on the power supply stayed a constant bright and there was no strobing on the blue light on the front of the TV, when I powered the TV on at this point the button worked again and the tv powered up with the silly tune then life in the screen. I did have to do this a good few times (I'm tenacious) but it did work!!!!!
Hope this helps someone else, cheers.
