Question about Vivitar ViviCam 8300s Digital Camera
Windows XP won't recognize the Vivitar Vivicam 8320 when plugged in. I reloaded the drivers just in case and the computer still doesn't recognize that it is a camera.

Try to stay away from using the camera to read the card I know it sound a bit extreme, but a small card reader would help a long way, take away wear and tear of the camera, one less task for it to do.
just use the camera to take picture and then use the card reader to download the pictures.
SD card do go bad, alot of time, be careful how you treat them.
if you cherish the contents, treat them with respect
