Kodak Easyshare c613 lens error

After my camera fell to the floor it would only say "Lens Error: 126,1,0,-11" on the screen and the lens was bent downward with a little crack in the plastic. what i want to know is what this error means and if it's easy to fix or what i am looking to pay to fix it since i know the warranty wont cover repairs because it fell on the floor?

The Lens error code comes on at start up; then shuts off. the code is 115,0,0,213 then sometimes changes to 215 or 212 or 214

I found that for my lens error 126,1,0,-11, all i had to do was snap the lens back into place and it works fine now. my warranty is void but it works fine.

It was the last day of elementary school and i wanted to get a pic of everyone together and then i dropped my camera and it went to the white kodak screen and said lens error:126,1,0,-11 and then it would trun off i couldn't believe it i was so upset. But then i looked at my lens and noticed it was crooked, i just snapped it into place and voila it worked. I was so relieved!

I fix these cameras. My service is on my E-bay store (camera-shy-anna) The lense is the only moving part on the camera. You will have to get a new lense assembly and get someone or you can carefully dismantle the whole camera to get to it. You can Get broken Cameras with good lenses and try the repair yourself but it is a delicate procedure , and you could end up with a pile of junk if you are not extremely carefull.

I banged the lense my hand and it worked. Great!

My son's new camera was having the same problem. On other sites it was suggested to hit the camera against your hand. We did not have a chance to try this because it suddenly started working again. I'm going to assume it got bumped.

My daughter's Kodak easyshare c613 gives lens error 415, 1, 1, 102 and the zoom in function doesn't work. Can we fix this?

In my experience when there is a 'lens error' there is internal damage perhaps from dropping the unit and it is fixable only by the Kodak.com website's authorized service center.

Hi, My Kodak EasyShare C613 intermittently starts up ok, but other times the lens extends and the viewfinder stays on the initial screen. (The Kodak EasyShare system 'share') After around 40 seconds...

My camera is stuck on the screen that says "lens error" and then has four different numbers in a row. The camera lens is fully extended and will not shut off...any suggestions of what the problem could be?

Kodak Easyshare C613 - lens error code 115,0,0,219

try these:-
  • connect it to pc and on it
  • vaccum the barrel of lens
  • changing mem. card and batt. for 2min.
  • shake it.
  • on and off in different positions
  • hit the part near lens softly with palm (trust me this made mine work)

Lens won't come out (Kodak EasyShare C613)

i have the exact same camera
you can hang it up and get ready to buy a new one because its not a do it yourself job and it would cost more to have it fixed than it would to buy another one just like it

Mine said error code 126, 1, 0-9 but it was just bent so I had to bend it back, now it works fine.

Lens error messages

Looks like the only thing to do is send it in for service, which if it's out of warranty is not very cheap. Or you can sell it on ebay or craiglist and use the money to buy a comparable one.
Good luck,

you need to clean your lens with a tissue sort of cloth, DO NOT GET IT WET! that will ruin your camera.
