Hi,
The actual problem is the drive infected due to viruses and bad sectors. The reason for the ejection problem is due to the OS could not stop the process which was started earlier for accessing the drive.Only way that could solve the problem is go for a clean format. If you need to recover failed hard drive mac just use this tool because the tool provides an option for recovering the needed files by distincting with the virus infected file.Download the demo version from here if satisfied go for the full version as i did..
Hi,
Sounds like the file structure on the drive is damaged. As resilient as mac file structure is it may have failed as a result of a hard shut down or disconnecting the drive while it was in use, possibly a previous failed attempt to eject.
With a logical failure like this recovery is generally fairly simple. You just need another drive(including the built in Mac OS drive) with enough space for your files and either a copy of Macdisk and PCTools file recover to perform the recovery on a PC or Iolo's Search & Recovery which you ca run on your Mac. The files may be recovered with generated file names, but iTunes should be able to sort through them and rename them in this case once you have them back.
For more info on either method of recovering check this FAQ:
