Question about Memorex iWake MI4004 Clock Radio

2 Answers

Possessed My iwake goes off in the middle of the night, every night. It's not at any specific time, but is always when I am in my room and watching TV. I would say that my tivo remote is interfering, but the first night it did it, I brought it downstairs to fix it, and it still went off. Any ideas other than returning the damn thing that I am sure just went out of warranty?

I've been having the exact same problem! I got a white one for christmas then ended up returning it and getting a refund because the radio would just randomly come on. I just bought another one yesterday and hoped maybe the one I bought before was defective. I hooked it up last night and just this morning the radio randomly came on again. I guess I'll just return it again but I wish I could find a fix for it cause I really like a lot but the radio is just too annoying to handle.

Drop the superstitious ****. The iWake clock radio has two components in it that, when brushed together, turn it on. This is an unusual occurance, but it does happen. Here's how to fix it. You must purchase a 352 page book and prop the iWake on a 23.14 degree angle. This will cause one component slightly lean backwards, causing the components to never brush up again. Or, you could take up exorsism and cast spells on it to try and shoo the evil iSpirits away.

My memorex quit playing all sound

  1. Unplug the unit and remove the batteries, wait 5 minutes, plug the unit back in and install the batteries.
  2. Check the male end on the iwake and the female end of the ipod for damage, if you are using an ipod it sounds like you may have a bad connection.
  3. Check if the Radio function plays sound.
  4. Make sure the Volume is not turned down.
  5. Does it play through the headphone jack? If so, your speakers may have failed.
  6. Most likely this will need to be sent in to Memorex, or a new unit will need to be purchased.

Battery area

The batteries (2 AAA) are made as a back up for the clock and alarms only, and would not be powerful enough to run the radio on their own.

Time lag.

Unfortunately, this is an innate problem with this device. Philips has a newer lineup of AJL models that operate on an atomic clock - real-time.

IMPORTANT! To adjust the clock and alarm times accurately, always make sure
you press the up-up or down buttons separately and not simultaneously.

Clock radio frozen in time

I have it too, and I think it has something to do with the timezone, so try resetting your timezone, and then the clock. it was happening to me, and I fixed it somehow. hope that helps.

No sound

no thats not it , i have the same problem and both the ipod and iwake are fine.. even when i try to use the radio th one iwake, no sound comes out still.. so i thought the problem lies within the speaker, but even when i plug earphones into the iwake, no sound comes out of them, whether it be on ipod or radio..
