Question about DVD & Blu-Ray Players
I've tried to watch *.avi and *.wvm files in my LG RH188H but it looks like the DVD recorder/player doesn't not even recognise the DVD (and I know it reads both +RW and -RW)! Aren't these file types accepted by this device? If not, what file types must I convert these movies into so that I can watch them?
Thanks in advance for your help,
AVI are a certain type of movie file.
Your problem is most likely that you do not, have the correct software ( program ) installed on your computer to view these files, yet i believe do play on a normal DVD Player.
you could try Windows Media player, this may work for you. also power DVD or Similar. although there are newer programs out there. as for the conversion, this is a long winded process in itself. To convert AVI To MPEG ( standard DVD Format ) you need unpacking tools and software, And a relatively high spec PC, Lots Of Memory.
Hope this guides you.
